You're not the boss of me. I am my own boss.:p

Autonomy is the state of having enough rope to hang yourself.

You know, the cheese stands alone, too.

Tonight I was told for the first time in what is likely to be many many many times that I was not the boss of my 6 year old. :eyebrow:

The next 12 years are going to test every fiber of my being I fear.

Too funny Labrat - what was your reply?
ZenGum • Dec 7, 2008 9:36 pm
6 is not too young for the taser.

LittleRat: You're not the boss of me!
LabRat: That's right, because a boss would have to pay you. I'm more like your owner and master. HYAH, mule!!

Bad news. The 12 after that are no picnic, either. Youngest stepson (18) and his fiancee finally moved out into their own apartment two weeks ago. Since that time, they've begged for food, money for tuition, books and gas, and a car, and walked out with a DVD I'd brought home and didn't even get to watch. Oh, and his mom's laptop, without asking.

Got the stuff back, but I don't really expect the whole financial support issue to end anytime soon. At least I'm not having to scrape my DVDs off of their overturned plates on the bedroom floor anymore.

Heeheee...I'm curious as to what you said too, labrat. I picture you very calmly saying 'Well, actually, yes I am your boss."

:)

I don't think my kids have ever said that to me. I think it's because they've been conditioned to know that I actually am their boss, and the boss of anyone else in the house too.

I'm am the supreme ruler!
