Today's color is...

Today, here in Ohio, it's a Raw Umber-kind of day. Bit gloomy, whiffs of yellow and orange still cling to the trees like ragged bats. What color is your day today? Please try to use crayola colors to suggest it. thanks!
sweetwater • Nov 12, 2008 10:33 am
Glaucous.

[either definition - a: of a pale yellow-green color b: of a light bluish-gray or bluish-white color]
Treasenuak • Nov 12, 2008 10:47 am
Black. Oh, wait, that's more my mood.... see upset thread for THAT one. The DAY'S color is kind of a gunmetal gray, I guess you could call it.
Sundae • Nov 12, 2008 10:51 am
Don't know Crayola colours, so all I can tell you is porridge grey, not unusual for England in November. There's a hint of blue/ peach from my window as the sun is setting in a patch of clear sky beyond the rooftops of East London, but all in all it's been a low cover day.

My genuine response would be that today's colour is fish. The only wet catfood I have at home at present is tuna and prawn, and I don't know which end of Diz it's coming out of (the litter tray is clean) but it's fishy enough to make me think of takeaways! I guess that's a testament to the quality of the food, but it doesn't bear thinking about too closely.

Crayola colors.

It's looking very Macaroni and Cheese here today, highlighted with Asparagus and Chestnut.
I'm a little hungry myself...

Raw Umber is now Wild Strawberry???!!!!

those two colors aren't even close for Pete's sake! sheesh!

:artist: <<<< me using Raw Umber and NOT Wild Strawberry!
monster • Nov 12, 2008 3:31 pm
raw umber was retired and wild strawberry took it's number in the lineup, at least I think that's what it means.

Are old crayola crayons collector's items? is there money to be made on ebay for a NIB "flesh"?
monster • Nov 12, 2008 3:32 pm
Today's color in Michigan is perrywinkle.

It's sacrilege, that's what it is.

And WTF is up with Raw Sienna? I never hearda no Raw Sienna. Burnt Sienna, yeah, but not raw. Raw was reserved for Umber, and now Umber is under.

Sigh...what are they doing bastardizing my youth? Hmmph.

My day is gray and gold. We're having showers with intermittent sunshine bursting though. It matches my mood very well actually.

I'm so happy my boys are back with me, but I miss Daryl badly. I started blubbering on the phone yesterday. :( I tried not to because I didn't want to upset him when he's so far away. I think my emotional state got the better of me though.

I miss my husband.
Pie • Nov 12, 2008 4:27 pm
Green, grey, white and maroon. That being what I can see from my window.
bluecuracao • Nov 12, 2008 4:56 pm
Earlier here in lovely suburban Horsham, PA, it was Goldenrod...but now it's looking kinda Manatee-ish.
footfootfoot • Nov 12, 2008 7:44 pm
Paisley. Yesterday was plaid. Tomorrow? Could be stripes...

They were a great pencil, truly marvelous. But not that marvelous. (The machines that made them have been scrapped, the recipe for the graphite is gone. And I have two halves left!)
Griff • Nov 12, 2008 8:18 pm
Things are looking pretty antique brass hereabouts.
Trilby • Nov 13, 2008 9:08 am
Today is pearl colored, mauve and gray, hints of softest blue.
Pie • Nov 13, 2008 9:19 am
What did you do, Bri, eat a Land's End catalog? :haha:
lumberjim • Nov 13, 2008 12:39 pm
dove grey
DanaC • Nov 13, 2008 12:52 pm
Grey seems to be a recurring theme at the moment. This afternoon the sky could probably be best described as gunmetal grey....
lumberjim • Nov 13, 2008 12:53 pm
it's pissing down rain and chilly here in NJ. sucks.

yesterday was pale blue and tangerine. I raked leaves for a few hours.

jinx • Nov 13, 2008 1:04 pm
I'd think you'd do better at J Peterman.
Trilby • Nov 13, 2008 1:07 pm
I'm so there!
Shawnee123 • Nov 13, 2008 1:21 pm
HA! I get J Peterman catalogs in the mail. I thought it was just a Seinfeld thing. Request your catalog here.

Today's colors are black and yellow, and are arranged in the shape of a trefoil.
TheMercenary • Nov 14, 2008 7:53 am
Steel Gray. It is raining, overcast, and foggy.
Shawnee123 • Nov 14, 2008 8:29 am
Foot, quit reading my mind. This morning on the drive in the sky was beautiful with reds and pinks...and I thought "Red sky in morning..."
Trilby • Nov 14, 2008 9:20 am
Today is a fake-y bright yellow-white, stark, puts everything in a weird relief. Today's color says, "Winter weather starts tomorrow! Enjoy this fake scenery while you can!"

Yes. Colors and Days talk to me.

I often feel that way after reading your posts, I feel as though we may be sharing some sort of being john malkovich type time space continuum brain. Especially when I wake up hung over and I haven't been drinking.;)
Shawnee123 • Nov 14, 2008 4:55 pm
Hey hey hey...I hardly drink at all anymore! ;)

(No, really, I've been frighteningly good as of late, must have something to do with not hating my job anymore!)
detour • Nov 14, 2008 4:58 pm

Griff • Nov 18, 2008 6:34 am
We're going with snow white here today.
Trilby • Nov 18, 2008 1:06 pm
Squint-white with a champaign chilly air.
Tulip • Nov 20, 2008 12:52 am
We've gone from color to taste? :p I don't even remember the names of the crayola colors anymore. All I can say is today was the most beautiful blue of the clearest sky. Warm, yet not hot, it was a perfect autumn day. Very rare for Houston.
Trilby • Nov 20, 2008 7:35 am
Everybody! "All the leaves are Brownnnnn (all the leaves are Brown!) and the skyyy is greyyyyyy (and the skyyy is greyyyy-ayyyy) I've been for a waaalk (I've been for a waalk!) on a winter's dayyyyy (ona winter's dayyyyyyyy) I'd be safe and warm (I"d be safe and warm) if I was in El-Layyyy (if I was in El-layy-AY!) And the taste is burn (I have acid reflux again)
Treasenuak • Nov 21, 2008 8:48 am
Today is starting out guncotton grey, but promises of crystalline blue later.
Sundae • Nov 21, 2008 10:26 am
Ah well, mine went in the opposite direction!
There's low cloud cover now, and a freezing rain blatting the windows.
I thought blue skies were too good to last in November.
