Then watch the "How hey made it." elsewhere on the DVD. It's about an hour long of this stuff. It is incredible. They even do the horses up with this stuff. Then they do it all in a gym.

they took real actors and made them look like they were rendered on a PC, sucktastic. :greenface

The POTC stuff was good, I guess because they weren't animating them as people you suspend disbeleif more.

Damn... and here I thought how INTERESTING the casting call for this movie was... all these odd deep sea creatures we've never seen before, crawling up out of the water, just for their chance at Hollywood fame and fortune. And to find out they're just HUMAN? Bummer.

I suppose those little bulls-eye target things are sensors? or just aids to help line up with the cgi?

either that or a really bad fashion statement!

huh. when i watched it i just got a monstrous hankering for sushi.

It's all about perspective. MAYBE they are showing you how they made the Davey Jones crew look like men in grey jump suits with black patches on them. :D

I wonder if people believe the actors when they say
"That's me...I was the hammer head. Sure it looks nothing like me but I swear it was me."

I saw the "making of" for this, the cgi is incredible

Palin kinda looks cgi...

In the top pic they look like M-class planet inhabitants from the original Star Trek. (No blue or gold shirts...everybody dies.)
