From Wunderground.

Hurricane Ike in Key West.

Thankfully, it was just passing by. I can't imagine the damage Cuba must have sustained, with a direct hit. :mg:

I'll bet they're all still drinking at Hog's Breath.
Sarasvati48 • Sep 11, 2008 12:48 pm
Nope. They shut down for about 24 hours. Saw it on their webcam...

It's a sad state of affairs when you can't even get a Rum Runner in the middle of a weather disaster.

Hey, what was that one bar in N'awlins that stayed open during Katrina?

Was it JohnnyWhite's?

I think Pat O'Brien's closed. They served a goooood Hurricane.

How to Make an authentic Pat O'Brien's Hurricane

In a 26 oz. Hurricane glass, mix
4 oz. of Pat O'Brien's Hurricane Rum or a good dark Rum and
4 oz. of Pat O'Brien's Hurricane Mix

Why do you need a 26 oz glass?

dar512 • Sep 14, 2008 12:16 pm
Ike (now a tropical depression) has made its way to Illinois and Indiana.

So we're now having our third day of rain.

Whoopee, we've had two solid days of rain and that damn thing hasn't even reached us yet..... -coupla hours and it'll be all ours

Thanks dar. Been wondering where to find some shots. Nice ones. Of bad things..

Crikey me.
With no TV and no commute (to pick up papers) I had no idea that it had been so devastating. Thanks for the link. Photos like those single buildings left standing really bring home why people needed to evacuate. Wow.

We got enough of a taste of Ike. 6 inches of rain in one day when you are camping is a real pain in the butt. At least it was warm. The next day during our closing ritual at the time we had energy really raised and drums pounding two rainbows presented themselves to us. It was awesome. I will post one of the pictures I got. They weren't great but still neat.

I think you're all missing the big picture. Ike hit us on Sept 11th. It originated near Cuba.

We finally have our justification to invade Cuba - again.:right:
