August 30, 2008: If Michael Jackson had aged gracefully

Our old friends at Neatorama pushed this one recently; apparently somebody used aging software and techniques on a childhood picture, to "guess" what Mike would look like if he hadn't pursued plastic surgery.

I have no shame saying he was one of my boyhood idols in the 70s. I had those early Jackson 5 records. And they were great.

I loved Rockin' Robin, ABC and Dancing Machine.

I wonder if he wishes he hadn't started with all the plastic surgery. I've heard docs say some people become addicted to having it...maybe he's one of those? At any rate, in the above photo, he looks really great, totally masculine....oh, maybe that's the problem.

I wish it were the reality. If he did look like that now would he be more or less then man he is now?

He fershure changed the face of music.

Thriller, was. Talent begets money, isolation, and privilege. Not the path to normal, well balanced, citizens.:headshake

Doesn't sound like his family provided much of a basis for normality and balance either.

I bet if he saw that photo he'd cry, though whether he was happy or sad I would have no idea.

Separated at birth.

Wait, Bryant Gumbel is black??
spudcon • Aug 31, 2008 8:55 pm
Sure Bryant's black, as are Michael Jackson, George Clooney and Barack Obama. Actually, I think they're all the same person.

Never seen 'em together at one time, in one place...

That aging software is such bullshit. As if Michael Jackson would somehow get black as he got older. Where do they come up with this stuff?
xoxoxoBruce • Sep 2, 2008 12:25 am
They just assumed with his wealth he'd be living in sunny climes, so they added a tan. ;)

See, that's why I'm not a software designer. I wouldn't have thought of that.

hmmm

Awesome. It took me a second, but then I laughed out loud.

I believe there is a slight flaw to the software program: it assumes a Dick Clark- aspect to the aging process.
