Well I'm back to civilization, spurred on to make this thread by lookout. I'm all done with fire for this season since school is starting back up at the end of this month. No I wasn't involved in that helicopter crash, nor do I know anyone that was. However, my heart goes out to the families of those involved as I direct you all to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation website.

On my end, I have a crap-ton of photos I still need to upload to my photo site (see signature). Just got back from a 3 day trip to Yellowstone, and I will be seeing a deactivated Minuteman missile silo and the Black Hills before the week is through on my way back to O-H, I-O. All I can say about Yellowstone is watch out for the idiot foreign tourists that like to walk up to the geysers and stick their fingers in the boiling hot springs.. :headshake

It's been a crazy 5 months that's for sure.

Beautiful photos Bullitt
I especially love the way your panoramic shots work in the thumbnails layout!

It's when I see photos like yours I long to get on a plane and hire a car. The long roads, the huge sky!

Hi Bullitt! Glad you're safe. I kept telling everyone "Give me back my bullitt" but they thought I was referencing Skynyrd! ;)

Ok kids, just uploaded pictures from the wildfire and the Yellowstone trip. Check em out below!

Good job on both, especially considering at the fire you were probably a little busy. :haha:
Was that half burned deck a private residence?
Bullitt • Aug 25, 2008 11:49 am
Yeahh just a little bit busy :flamer:
Yeah it was next to an old swimming pool that the local hippies still use, even though it's just a giant, green, slimy goldfish pond now :greenface

wtf with the bison?
xoxoxoBruce • Aug 26, 2008 8:17 am
The Bison have the right of way, and like to remind the tourists of it at every opportunity. :haha:

A bunch of them live wild in the park. It wouldn't be pretty to have a run in with an animal the size of my honda civic that weighs around 2000 lbs. Most wolf packs don't even try to take these things down.
DucksNuts • Aug 27, 2008 6:09 am
They are so cool.....they dont look worried at all.
DanaC • Aug 27, 2008 7:25 am
Great pics, mate!
Bullitt • Aug 27, 2008 8:37 am
Thanks! Yellowstone is one of those places where a week is just not enough time.
Griff • Aug 27, 2008 8:58 am
Man, that is true. We just got back from Yellowstone last night. The landscape and critters are just stunning.
