Before the first Gulf War, due to the rapid need for deployment, and so many to be painted, the Marines were allowed to paint their squadron aircraft in their own hangers before deploying. There may have been as many as 4 of these ships with that paint scheme.

A fun sponge does to fun what a regular sponge does to water. ie it sucks it all up and makes it go away. As in not letting soldiers have any fun with their aircraft.
