Living in Chicago

So I moved into an apartment in Chicago!

Well, it's only for 36 days, until the golf internship I have is over. I'm working for The First Tee of Chicago which is part of Kemper Sports and First Tee jointly works with Chicago Park District. Two friends of mine who go to UIC (University of Illinois at Chicago) are taking summer school and have already moved into their apartment for the school year. So they are charging me 100 bucks to rent out their 3rd unused room for the month! 100 dollars!? To live 3 blocks from downtown Chicago? HOLY SHIT!

Anyways I'm excited to have my first city-living experience. Instead of commuting 90 miles there and back, the northside (my longest golf site) is only 15 miles away. Woohoo! Savin' some gas and time. Hope it's a great metropolis experience.

That's great freshness! Sounds like the ideal location and the price can't be beat.

enjoy dude. DT Chicago is a young single guy's dream. and nightmare. but mostly dream. although some of the women will give you nightmares if you aren't careful. nightlife in Chicago is like nowhere else I've ever been.

I came from a small town near Chicago in Northwest Indiana...BEST OF BOTH WORLDS! I really miss it now.

You are so lucky to have this opportunity! Chicago is awesome...especially in the summer.

With a large group of friends and a partner I prefer a village (voted small town as it was the closest).

With a limited social circle I definitely prefer a city.

Either way, it's great to have a no strings attached chance to live in a city. What a great opportunity! I'm sure you're making the most of it.
