Firefox 3

Firefox 3 lauches today

download it here

Some add-ons, plug-ins and such may not work with F3 yet, so if you have an add-on that you depend on, check it before downloading. Otherwise, it's a winner. Go get it, install it and use it. That's my advice.

Might I add

no reboot needed

"Wait, you mean you have to reboot after installing software?"

... says the smug *nix guy.

it passes for IE with a site I use that will only use IE. almost.

Workin great for me. It loads a little faster and doesn't get hung up when multiple tabbed pages are loading at once like before. Compatible with Ad Block Plus and Forecast Fox, so I'm happy as a drunken clam. We'll see if it's still a resource hog though..

Yep, 99,700 K memory.. sheesh.

Problem is that almost all of the add-ons I have are now defunct.

i lost some add-ons, too, but hopefully they will be returned all shined up and good as new. and soon.

I only lost one add-on and I had forgotten it was there. I'm sure it'll be redone soon. So far, I like it.

I rather keep my extensions thank you.

It seems sharper than the previous versions. I really like it so far. It has more security. My only complaint is my fasterfox extension doesn't work until they update it for Firefox 3. Nearly all of my other extensions ported over except for translate.

it's fucking up for me. mainly in forms. can't edit text in certain places, tabbing is manual where it should bounce.......

IE is standard at my job, so IE is standard at my house.

shit seems way slower and I don't recognize anything anymore. Like who are those people over there?

Firefox 3 funny:
Type about:robots in the address bar and hit Enter
Another - type about:mozilla in the address bar and hit Enter.
deadbeater • Jun 24, 2008 10:02 pm
It's also funny on how it handles new bookmarks.

My favorite new feature -- "smart keywords".
deadbeater • Jun 25, 2008 10:08 pm
It takes a little long to set up.

Try about:config and it will take you into the Firefox registry.
