Australia, a movie from Baz Luhrman is due in November.

Stars Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman. The trailer looks pretty good.

I've had this damn song in my head since the other thread.
Sorry, I had to put it somewhere or go mad.

It's the Manic Street Preachers, not Rick Astley.

And here is Never Mind the Buzzcocks trying to decipher the lyrics (the Manics are Welsh if you didn't know)

let me just tell you what the average australian thinks of this movie.

it came on as a preview in a cinema full of people. after the preview ended, everyone in the cinema laughed. and im pretty sure it isnt meant to be a comedy.

Personally, I only pay attention to above-average Australians. ;)

I just finished watching Australia. It was long, but well done, I thought.

I suppose that it shouldn't have surprised me, but I didn't realize that Australia had been attacked by the Japanese in WW2.

I thought it was rather long and at best, just so-so.

It had its weak points, but I really like Hugh Jackman, so I forgave it its faults.
