I knew they'd blame this on us somehow.

Cellar children face long road to recovery.

Seriously, this is some of the most fucked up shit ever.

It's like if H. H. Holmes was a fundamentalist Mormon.

What is it with Austrians and hiding people in Cellars...?
Oh, wait.

It's a V.C. Andrews plot only far more terrible because it's true.

It's sooo fucked up... and does anybody actually believe this guy's wife didn't know something was going on?

She must have known---it was her daughter, too. I can just imagine the mother saying, "hmmmmm....I haven't seen Elisabeth in 24 years...I wonder how she's doing...really, i MUST call..." and then the three kids who papa allowed to live upstairs with them--what did he tell his wife about that? That they were foundlings? Adopted? Taken off the streets? She knew. Oh, she knew.

He told her that Elisabeth had run away as a teenager, and dropped the children off because she couldn't care for them.

I don't think she knew. She may have known something was not right, but how do you suspect something like THAT?! I doubt this monster picked his wife for her intelligence.

Hey, Honey, I think you left the TV on in the basement. I'll just go down there and turn it off.
