Needling people.

Needling people. I have a habit of playing devils advocate, and just needling people.

I have a good time with it.

too bad. Maliciousness is at the top of my anathema list. Irritating people on purpose just for your own amusement is despicable.

Ohh really??? Needling can be either good natured or bad. If it all in good fun and a 2-way situation - no problem, but if you're just bein a dick, then .....

This is a bad habit of mine. I try to restrain it, especially around people who don't know me well. (The Cellar is a major outlet for it.)

Don't feel bad Steve, the needling you give might be the only poking some people ever get. . .

the only kind of needling I like . . . is the kind that results in body art.

Some people don't take it well but I like it :D

I don't mean needling like being a dick, unless the situation warrants. Most of the time I'm being flippant and sarcastic.

As much as I think telling people their sense of humor is sub-par, not acceptable in society, and calling them on it in a joke thread you could just have easily ignored is. That's not antagonistic, just in a more passive way?

Ummmmm, yea, I do it. Not much here, but on another forum, the first one that I ever participated starting about 5 years, I have taken needling to an art forum. Some people are so whacked out they just need to be poked with a stick. Take Radar for example...

Unhappily for most of us, poking Radar with a stick does not recalibrate the radar any too well...
