Those loose, coiled piles are designed to "give" a little. It's arranged that way on purpose.

That's pretty much what our stage looks like when we play, minus the grand piano and the drum kit.

*Great* pic, BTW. Curious things I'm noticing looking at it closely:

1) All of the amps are PA mic'ed...except for George's.
2) Where are the vocal mics and stands?
3) There's a really nice looking Gretsch laying on the floor behind Ringo.
