I guess it's time to change your location in your profile then, huh?

I am officially requesting regular updates to this thread especially as the seasons change. Thanks in advance! :D

Badlands look pretty good to me.

Bullitt, some of those pictures look like they could be combined into a nice panorama (#12-16 on page 1, for example).

NICE! Those are beautiful, Bullitt. You know, there seem to be more and more dwellars closer to my longitude...or however one would say that. We really need to have a GTG over here somewhere.

As soon as the mountains are visible again (snowing and foggy all day today), I will do a mini-series of shots.

I do intend on stitching together some of those shots from the Badlands into a panorama, just need a decent program (my pirat3d photoshop died on me).

Also those sunrise photos at the beginning were along the Missouri River as I was still driving out here. And the ones at the very end are from a deactivated Minuteman missile silo that's now a national park.

I'll be out here till mid-August, so expect more shots of this beautiful part of the country between now and then!
Thanks!

Good job, Bullitt.
The badlands are only beautiful to people that have food, water and transportation easily accessible

I love the SD Badlands. Marvelous geologic site. The thing that never ceases to amaze me about it is that, when you are out in it, you lose all sense of scale. The formations look for all the world like mountains, until you look up and see people standing on top of them. It is shocking when you realize that they really aren't large at all, they just *look and feel* that way when you are immersed in the landscape.

The Badlands are quite interesting. I have flown over them in a C-130 on numerous trips. Peering down from above it appears quite daunting, surrealistic. I never had the pleasure of an actual visit. It looks like a great place to disappear to.
