Forum Lurker sign in record...

Madman • Mar 28, 2008 3:29 pm
Yep... I confess... I am one of those forum lurkers. Just sort of pop in and pop out. Read a couple "Hot Topics" like Dick Slits and Peeing in the shower threads, make a post or two then disappear for a couple of weeks.

Since most of us "Lurkers" are kinda shy (like me) and just like to read n' flee...

Though I'd make a thread (I think my second one - ever) for us to sign in and let these post-whoring regulars know that we are...

You have 99 posts: I have 130 posts: You signed up 14 months after I did. If we were to average it you will have approximately 100 more posts than me when you have been around as long as me. Therefore... you are a post whore!

A whore? I give it away for free. I was never really a lurker though, I signed up here one day on a whim when I was bored with the forum that I normally post on, played here for about a week, and then completely forgot about it until whomever the resident forum deity here is sent me a lovely automated birthday e-mail last month.

It's less possible for a lurker to post once, in fact a lurker almost has to post once if they want to register.

Because of the massive influx of attempting spammers, accounts have to be purged if they have registered but haven't posted, and this happens about once a month...
lumberjim • Mar 28, 2008 4:43 pm
what advantage does being registered have for a lurker? isnt a real lurker one that you never know was there? creepy fuckers?
Happy Monkey • Apr 6, 2008 3:00 pm
If you register, it will keep track of which threads have new posts to lurk through.
