Baby Offset Proposal

The root cause of most of the major (human) problems throughout the world can be linked to excess human population. These problems include pollution, climate change, traffic congestion, food and water shortages, and lots more.

I would like to propose a new scheme to 'voluntarily' reduce human population: baby offsets.

Baby offsets would function like carbon offsets - any family having fewer than two children would be eligible to sell one or two baby offsets. Any family having two or more children could purchase baby offsets from the first family. This would give an economic incentive to reduce family size, both for the small, responsible family and for the large, irresponsible family.

There are still a few minor details to work out, such as the definition of 'family,' and what to do if the small family becomes larger after accepting the baby offset payment, etc. But I think it could work.


So, who would like to by my baby offsets? Bidding starts at 10,000 USD.

i will as soon as i find someone willing to pay me to father their child.

But what about quality control? Shouldn't we have an adjustable scale of payment based on the genetic quality of the vendor and buyer?

I assume we're talking voluntary sterilization so nobody can change their mind after getting paid.
