What is so difficult about driving?

Cicero • Feb 1, 2008 1:36 pm
It's one of those days.....Do you ever experience spontaneous chaos in a mile radius of where you are driving, and you aren't sure if you are going to reach your destination because people driving around you are subconsciously trying to kill you with their car?

Or the guy in the mack truck decides to leave his vehicle at a busy intersection for unknown reasons after you just avoided the car changing two lanes, right in front of your car to make a left turn that would put them right into a curb?

Finally the chaos is over and you breathe a sigh of relief until the person a couple cars ahead gets in the left lane and decides that they or going to aim back for the lane you are in again while you are driving by? The only real luck you have experienced is that no one was in the lane to your right because you had to swerve and didn't have time to check it.....

What is so f'ing hard about driving?!?

(this is what I started to yell to myself in my car after about 10 minutes of baffling stupidity)

I am a very patient person and driver...but all the things that I just saw make even me into an irate driver...

Why are some days filled with vehicular pandemonium and other days just mildly slow, retarded, and dumb?

Help before someone hits me with that dummy club today! aaaah?!? Is the answer to be found in the city water?!?

This week we are hosting a PGA tournament, the Super Bowl, and some sort of large business convention downtown. At least that is what I've heard. I think they are all just trying to kill me.

Maybe you should try a lesson from the Homer Simpson Defensive Driving School:

<Homer is shunting cars out of the way>
Marge: Homer, I think you should drive a little more ... defensively...
Homer: Oh Marge. The best defense is a good Offense!

The people that flew in and rented cars will most likely have NM plates.

This illustrates my point I think....

Hey Cloud...you live pretty close to me don't you?
:D

and once more, a cloud driving comment makes me glad I live far far away....
Cloud • Feb 2, 2008 3:09 pm
come on now, guys. I've been in one accident in 35 years of adult driving (a fender bender involving an unfamiliar city and an unfamiliar intersection), and my last speeding ticket was in 1982. Just because you can take pleasure from something, doesn't mean it is unsafe.

Does it?

(plans a trip to Cicero's city)

That depends on who "you" is and what "unsafe" is...

C'mon by! But I'm driving......:p
Cloud • Feb 3, 2008 10:53 am

Be sure to purchase the skidoo adapter kit when you replace that 710 cap.

I've never mastered that. I can only ride one at a time.

Or Mercenary's beside himself when he drives.

Where is that deadpan-smartass smiley?
