Do you still see blue halos around bright lights?
lumberjim • Feb 1, 2008 12:10 am
no, but i can make doors swell at will.

ƒuckin' hippy
lumberjim • Feb 1, 2008 12:18 am
not so much anymore...i'm more of a capitalist pig at this point. I always knew i'd wind up this way. I tell myself that I'm an undercover Hippie, but from my current perspective I'm beginning to fear that I was an undercover Republican back then.

oh...the shame.

Vote Ron Paul!

Isn't it just, growing up, gaining possessions, and a family to take care of?
lumberjim • Feb 1, 2008 12:53 am
well, if you want to make excuses for my selling out to the man, i guess you could say that.

I could raise my kids in a microbus traveling from rianbow gathering to rainbow gathering....doing migrant labor and drumming in drum circles.....

that actually sounds like fun just now....

I know, I know. We're too weak and filled with fear to wean ourselves from the teat of modern society.

No, that only seems like it would work. In reality the microbus would need an engine overhaul, the kids would need braces, the friends you'd have would be idiots and you would slowly feel your life slipping away. At age 57 you would be too exhausted to do it any longer, and then you're a Walmart greeter or you drive the potato chip van, because there are no other opportunities, and you live in a shitty apartment hoping to hit the lotto.

But, but, the memories. Oh wait, that would be shot to hell, too.
Oh, I've got it... the Technicolor flashbacks.... dancing skeletons and bears.
