January 16, 2008: Giant Spider

xoxoxoBruce • Jan 15, 2008 10:15 pm
At 5th and Morrill, in Reno Nevada, there's what appears to be a giant spider on the roof. shiver I hate when that happens.

Thankfully, from ground level it's not a spider, but a beetle... VW Beetle.

Lot's of predators in Reno, but this one is benign.

it's not a spider, it's a bug! I would never, ever, have opened this thread if it weren't for the cheatsheet rollover thingy which assured me that, indeed, it was NOT an actual giant spider. Thank goodness!

Yeah, that's just a couple of blocks away from where I work. :)

Hey Cloud, here's a nice picture from the WTF thread.

Hicks: What was that bump?
Johnnie: Oh shit, man, we just ran over a car. We just squashed a car!
Hicks: What kind of car?
Johnnie: A Volkswagen. A fucking beetle!
Hicks: Oh, no. We squashed a beetle.

To quote Buffalo Soldiers :D

There's a fellow here in Indiana who has one of those hanging from the trees in his yard. Pretty funny when you all of sudden come upon it.
BTW..long time lurker, first time poster. :)

why? Why? WHY did I follow that link?!?! I KNEW it was going to be disgusting. Well, I won't be eating for a couple of days, and it'll be a week before the shiver in my spine is gone.

Don't give into temptation, Cloud... stay away.

Sorry. I thought it was obvious it was going to be a link to a big nasty spider after Cloud's comment. I mean, come on. What else would it be?

Strange World of Coincidences - I was telling someone in therapy today about the clock/ spider picture and made myself shiver all over again. She's scared of the small spiders we get in the UK so I think that one would make her froth at the mouth. Which would be funny to watch.
Drax • Jan 21, 2008 2:11 pm
We're doing spider pics?

Ok, I got two: A fat one, and a spider for mom...awww.
shina • Jan 21, 2008 2:31 pm
The VW Bug is cute. The clock....disgusting! I am not a spider fan, especially when they get that big.
