Odd Drinks

Pete just made zabaglione.
8 egg yolks
1 cup powdered suger
1/2 cup marsala wine
beat it and heat it

good plan if you're using up a lot of egg whites on merengue production

ooops... Looks like a custard in real life. That was an odd drink. :3eye:

8 egg yolks has to be near a half cup, right? that's equal parts egg yolk and wine....with sugar added? why!?

sounds like eggnog to me.

We had it for dessert on my honeymoon in Venice.
My fondness for it survived the trip.
