I have taken a picture of a bed and added flames using GIMP to photoshop the image. This image uses the layered partial images technique to produce an image of the bed burning.
1. Pillows are photoshpped with flames.
2. Multiple burning pillows added to the bed.
3. Several layers of flames added from back to front looking like they were comming out of the mattress on the bed.
4. Footboard of bed added so fire looks like it is behind the foot of the bed.
This picture was inspired by the "Ham Bed" picture of artist Carimon Calvallero. This would be an assemblage and performance art. Assemble the bed in an open area -- then perform the act of burning the pillows and bed.
If anybody would like to do something like this, and take pictures of the results, I would love to see the results.
