Youtube Tags

Maybe UT should add a YouTube button with a popup explanation on the of how to use it on the "Quick Reply" toolbar cuz obviously some of our members aren't reading Jim's post:

Thanks for posting that. Does that work for other video-hosting services? (What would you put in the [youtube] boxes?)

I haven't set up any other vid services because there hasn't been demand, but if you demand one I will surely set it up.

Every now and then people ask.
They get an answer.
This isn't a YouTube showcase.

Cuz fer da mos' part, the video quality on youtube sucks.

i think what would be usefull would be a little youtube icon like the quote balloon, insert pic, url buttons....like this:

that would put the {youtube] [/youtube} tags around your code for you, is all.

maybe that would lead to over-youtubing though. does it impact the cellar servers when we link and watch youtube vid, or is it all on the you tube servers?

Oh man, the embed code for those sites seems to all suck.

The Cellar takes no hit at all for embedded videos. It's just another post.

does vb let you put little buttons like that one i made into the reply boxes?

But you're not using YouTube's embed codes:

Your using tags.

The tags translate to embed codes.
