Hello all. Lookout123 gave me a shoutout to let me know that the cellar was still up and kicking, and that my presence was missed. It's a lovely thing, being missed. Glad to be back, and I'll try to make up for my absence by flitting from thread to thread leaving inane unrelated comments.
Since we last checked in, Mrs. Smooth gave birth to little smoothlet #2, a boy this time, which makes a full set. I was awarded a professorship at our University, so I've been busting my ass writing and teaching to try and justify my position here before they wise up and kick me out for being woefully under-qualified. I'm still playing keyboards, though much less live work and more studio work (working 10 AM - 4PM in the studio is much more family-friendly, as opposed to the 10PM - 4AM shift of live playing).
I'm doing a ton of writing, whole stacks of writing, hoping to publish a book on music and ethics sometime this summer. I'll trot some of that stuff out for you vultures to pick through, if you like. UT, it's right up your alley.
