I miss Big McLargehuge, that puppet has soul. I'm typing this on a yummy new Toshiba laptop which Pete refuses to Linux because she is Vista at work. damn techies... ok damn hot techies but srysly.

I used Chad for a single post.

Somebody had SteveDaIlas for a while, but they never posted with it, and it seems gone now.
Clodfobble • Nov 23, 2007 9:08 pm
Aren't God and Saddam Hussein you too? Or is that someone else?
zippyt • Nov 23, 2007 9:16 pm
slang i think
Griff • Nov 23, 2007 9:43 pm
Yep slangster.
LJ • Nov 23, 2007 9:49 pm
Slang was the original puppeteer. ( donovan mc nads, koffi annon) I merely stand on his shoulders. He had a whole crew that he used regularly. Mine have come along piecemeal as they were useful for short times. Mostly to mock someone or for a specific joke.

i have spencer too, but i use that sparingly, and hope to one day bequeath it to my son.

I totally think i'm forgetting at least one, though.

There is no controlling legal authority regarding the use of alternate personalities.

In many cases it makes a thread funny or funnier.

There was a guy on the board a few years ago that tried to show his alternate personality through the style of his comments and no one "got" his humor.

If it makes something funny, go for it.

It's not been the same since W killed Saddam. What a sad day for [cellar login]Saddam Hussein[/cellar login]
NoBoxes • Nov 24, 2007 5:44 am
With me it's just the opposite. Noboxes is actually a small group of friends, who have known each other forever, that take turns posting under this same username. We keep our activity level low; so, that no one will get to know us well enough to discern which of us is posting at any given time.
Aliantha • Nov 24, 2007 5:45 am
OMG! I feel so violated!
ZenGum • Nov 24, 2007 6:03 am
And I though NoBoxes just had a serious psychological problem.
Aliantha • Nov 24, 2007 6:06 am
I want to know if any other dwellars realized/knew noboxes was more than one person.

I feel a disturbance in the force.

There will have to be a split to resolve this conflict.
NoBoxes • Nov 24, 2007 6:19 am
Well now NoBoxes (you always did forget to capitalize the B in Boxes which is one way they can tell us apart), that isn't exactly true. We haven't known each other forever, it just seems that way sometimes. We met during military service in a tight knit spec. ops. unit and maintained contact even after going our separate ways. Unfortunately, NoBoxes who participates in the Word Association thread is presently feuding with NoBoxes who participates in the Song Association thread; so, the latter has been avoiding posting. Sometimes we fight like brothers; but, it never lasts long. I'm sure we NoBoxes (Noboxes, noboxes, No_Boxes ... etc.) will ALL be posting again shortly and there will be calm in the force.
Aliantha • Nov 24, 2007 6:22 am
Very good, that will be.
richlevy • Nov 25, 2007 10:40 am
Actually, back in the old old days, there was a user who posted weird, almost random phrases to the Cellar. I suspected it was a bot. The first two posts were interesting, but after a while it became one of only two users to ever make my banned list.

The other one may have been Barak, but it was a while ago and I'm not sure I remember.

whatever you do DON"T have problems with that damn computer. i got myself into a time crunch and had to buy and off the shelf laptop for a specific short term need. i bought a Toshiba because i'd had good luck with their non-PC stuff. unfortunately, i got a lemon - no big deal, it happens. Toshiba's tech support said i had to send it back to them and they would ship me a new one. again, no big deal. but i stressed, emphasized, pointed out, and stated in triplicate that i absolutely HAD to have the new one in my paws by a certain date which was a week and a half out. no big deal they said, as everything is overnight anyway. SOB's "forgot" to ship it 6 business days in a row. i ended up having to go to the store and buy another one off the shelf for my trip. so now i have the second laptop (from another company) that i use regularly. i haven't even opened the box the replacement came in. My replacement took about a month all said and done. Not very helpful people there.
