For the person who has everything . . .

not sure who I'll give this to, but I really want to find someone. Perhaps with the addition of No Crack Creme . . .

okay, here's another one. I think I mentioned this one before, but I LOVE my garlic roaster:

Don't you just roast garlic in the oven when you're like...roasting?
Sundae • Nov 23, 2007 6:18 am
I can see the appeal of a little roaster if all you're roasting is garlic - heating an oven for a few cloves is a little wasteful if you want it for something you're cooking on the hob for example.

yeah I guess so. I don't think I've ever been in that situation before though. Mostly if I need to heat a herb before using it I'll put it in a saucepan and do it on the stove top.

I honestly only roast garlic when I'm doing an actual roast usually anyway. Sometimes I'll roast half a dozen or more if we're having a dinner party and it's part of the entre or something though, in which case the oven is probably on already anyway.

The garlic roaster takes 20 minutes v. an hour in the oven; doesn't heat up the kitchen (an important consideration where I live); and uses much, much less energy. If you like garlic, it's great!

Not to mention that its a great conversation piece.

mmmmm . . .

tastes like chicken!

I just want to get the Anti Monkey Butt powder for someone!

I like garlic. We eat a lot of it around here. I think everyone else in the house likes it too, and if they didn't to begin with, they learned to love it. :)

I've never seen one of those gadgets over here though, and believe me, I've spent my fair share of time in kitchenware shops. lol

To be honest, I thought it was a joke.

ah, no. I got my garlic roaster from Amazon. Comes in white and black, too. If you'll notice, the reviews are almost uniformly "5s." I resisted getting this for a while, because do I really need a single use appliance? But I'm so glad I did!

I just use the roasted cloves on good french bread, with cheddar cheese as a side. Total yum!
Aliantha • Nov 23, 2007 9:33 pm
yeah...roasted garlic on french bread wth a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of sea salt. I don't know anyone who doesn't like it.
