How would one "enforce" beautification?
"ugry" = Jap slang for "ugly"
Hence, "No Ugly People Allowed!" :D
off to kfc with rats disguised as chickens?
hey, this could almost be picture a association game!

association: man on street with a sign
LOL! Moran!
Reminds me of a graffiti that was sprayed on a church beside a busy road in Adelaide, Australia.... "SATIN RULES". :smack:
This was seen by so many that maybe 15 years later people still remember it.
Zen, I liked the spelling mistake. I read it as "..alter people still remember it" and just figured you'd misspelled "altar." You know, like the church people remembered it? Uh. Yeah. I got nuthin. ;)
Damn, you must have been quick. I fixed it in about a minute. :)
I was tempted to leave it for the irony, but the alter/altar business might confuse people, and then I would have looked dum.
Me fail English? That's unpossible!
Embiggens is a perfectly promulent word.
Cromulent. It's a perfectly cromulent word.
:dunce:
association: man on street with a sign

eta: the first one is
yeah, i like the original better.
go usa!

The real sign would read "Kid's have it too easy" btw
And it looks like Britain, the sign asking for the bank would say instead, "Has the number 44 gone yet? Excuse me love - the 44? Has it gone?"
(Numbers referring to buses)
yeah, the usa thing was referring to the picture above and that image is just a people with signs association is all.

He's clearly an atheist then. But he believes in soles.

So call me callous.

This
link goes to the Walkley Awards, and features 30 of the best professional photos from Australian media in the last year.
There are some excellent shots there, although a few may require a bit of background in Australian news.
This is one of my favorite collection of photos, they are all of closed mental asylums and mental hospitals in great disreapair. Many of the photos have equipment that has been left in place, you can almost hear the voices of those who lived and died there.
http://www.opacity.us/locations/#site12Wow, thanks Merc. I love old buildings, and the histories of them. I will probably spend a lot of time at that site.
Edit: As suspected, I can't stop looking at the pictures. I want to visit each and every place. Just fascinating!

That site is quite addicting. I remember when I first found it I randomly looked at it for about three days straight and finally went back to the beginning and looked at each and every picture in order until I had looked at them all. I still look at them and see something different each time. Glad I could get someone else hooked who would appreciate them as much as I did.
Yay! You guys are awesome! I oughta post the photos of the abandoned house my mom and I went and looked at... :D thanks for the links!

A “DOOMSDAY” vault built to withstand an earthquake or nuclear strike was ready to open deep in the permafrost of an Arctic mountain, where it will protect millions of seeds from man-made and natural disasters
A product of paranoia and a lot of money
Good idea, I hope they've saved seeds for Dutch Nebula, Early Girl, Juicy Fruit, Afghani, Hindu Kush, Northern Light, Big Bud, etc, etc.

The ultimate in seedbanks. The original and best ;)
...and let me tell you. I had no idea.
not necessarily cool or anything, but it's one of my training pictures.
WATCH YOUR TANDEMS!!!!
Dick Lavy? He's from here, a nearby community. His wife used to be VP of Development here. Small small world.
Bit short on the turn there
That picture was taken last summer at the Pilot truck stop in Laredo Texas, for those who care. There is only one way in and out of the place... through the parking lot behind a Blue Beacon truck wash. The turn is a bit tight and if there's traffic coming through (the wrong way) drivers tend to tighten the turn. Should some unfortunate soul be sitting right on the corner (no parking zone) and blocking the stop sign, they get squashed.
I drill my students relentlessly to watch their tandems each and every time they bend the truck, even a little bit... or else!
Barbie got anorexia ?
Sad :(

I remember that site, Merc. I lost it out of my favorites when my computer broke down. What was it again? It was suh-weet! Why am I so fascinated with this kind of stuff? Dunno, but I am!
