Are we allowed to ask for username changes?
If the owner of the board can change his name (as he did when he went from his real name to handle), then certainly anyone else can...and has.
In
Greek mythology,
Thanatos (in
Ancient Greek,
θάνατος – "
Death") was the
Daimon personification of Death and Mortality. He was a minor figure in Greek mythology, often referred to but rarely appearing in person. His name is transliterated in Latin as Thanatus, but his
Roman equivalent was
Mors or Letus/Letum, and he was sometimes identified (perhaps erroneously) with
Orcus.

<chuckle> I think it's safe to say that this thread has gone from " Are we allowed to ask for username changes?" to "What is your vampyre name?"
Why do you keep changing your name, Drax / Thanatos / Datalyss???
Should we expect this to keep happening?
dude, seriously, CHILL on that.
I vote if he changes it again, tribal council should vote to change him back to drax and then must approve all future changes for everyone.

Just testing the waters, but I think I'll keep this one for a good while.
@ Ex Isle, I was JohnnyBOB, Nathrakh, Thanatos, and currently Drax.
This is the one for my name:

It's RUBBISH. Who ever heard of a vampire called Marion! Marion is what maths teachers are called (apologies to any Marions out there, I'm sure you've grown into your name)
So I put in Sundae Girl and I like it a lot better.

Guinevere....I can go with that for a Vamp name, but SG you're right. Marion....definately a teacher or a receptionist...wuold be worse if it was Ethel or Sharon though :P (again, apologies for anybody named Ethel or Sharon...good solid names without a hint of undeadliness about them)

Seconded. And I would like to move a procedural motion to put this straight to the vote without further discussion :P
[eta] I just reread the last line from The Great Archives Record....given what I'm up to just now, I really like that lol
Are you going for the title of user name changes as well??
Marion....definately a teacher or a receptionist...wuold be worse if it was Ethel or Sharon though
Ha--My grandmother was named Marion, and my stepgrandmother on the same side was named Ethel. :)
.....just out of curiosity what did they do for a living?
One was a professional piano player, and the other was... I dunno, a homemaker I think?
lawyers...lol. Like it.
Ah shucks. Wuz hopin they'd have been schoolmarms:P
Was that to me ducks?
Nah Dana, youve been Dana forever havent ya?
I was playing with Drax/Than/Data :p
Let the record note that Drax / Thanatos / Datalyss is now Drax again.
No comment from me here, I just wanted to note this somewhere so any confused party searching those names will get an answer.
I'll comment.
Drax:
I like this username. Please stop changing it. It's confusing. Plus, like most of the others here, you started in my mind as Drax, and when it's different, all I do is code shift blahblahblah-->Drax. Oh, that's Drax again. You're stuck dude. Be happy with it.
Drax, if I were you, I'd change my username to Drax. It just sounds better.
I like that one even better ;)
I propose that any additional user name changes will be processed only after a $50 hit to the tip mug.
seconded..and I'd like to raise you $50

For everyone, or just those users who have changed their name more often than Jimbo has changed his undies lately?
there you go thinking about my underwear again.
You do know what I keep in there, don't you?
psst.....it's my cock.
Wait, are we allowed to ask for ussername changes....
....for other people??
ussername
Hmmmmmm....

Not so crazy about "Enid" though-sounds like a blue haired old lady-not that I have anything against blue haired old ladies
For everyone, or just those users who have changed their name more often than Jimbo has changed his undies lately?
I was thinking the latter. Couple other boards that I'm on have requirements for username changes to keep people from, well, doing what drax did. One requires you to pony up cash money (or paypal bit exchanges) in order to process a name change. The other one makes you go and greet 20 new members who have posted in the introduction forum.
Oral sex might work around here...
I'd like to change my username to "EveryoneIgnoresMeMan" :(
psst.....it's my cock.
Oh how many times have I heard that line...........
I'd like to change my username to "EveryoneIgnoresMeMan"
Did anybody else hear that sound?

What sound?

"Are we allowed to ask for username changes?"
We were allowed to ask for username changes. Douche.
If the timing had been different, we could have given Drax/Thanatos/Datalyss/Drax a new acronym ...
DDT

ROTFLMAO!

Ahh, it's a fickle, unpredictable thing, this Cellar.
Sometimes I write a post which I think is top notch, and get no response at all.
I post a quick throw away line and someone ROTFLM(T)AOs at it.
: scratches head :
All good.
