Pony Play

Cloud • Oct 10, 2007 2:25 pm
Okay, so this one of those sex things I sincerely don't "get." Not just that it doesn't turn me on, it just seems weird to me (along with the "smooshing" thing [i.e., food] but that's another story.)

But yesterday, on the tv show Bones (which I love), they had an ep centered around a group of pony players. Anybody see this?

It was pretty interesting, because they put forth a lot of facts I'd never realized, such as -- it dates back to Greece, and gave lots of historical references and antecedents. It actually started to make a kind of sense to me.

Would you ever consider being a pony or rider?
Aliantha • Oct 10, 2007 7:09 pm
I don't understand what pony play is. Is it where one person rides around on the others back?

Isn't that what you do with your kids?
theotherguy • Oct 10, 2007 7:10 pm
I haven't looked it up. I am sure there will be some very interesting sites pop up.
Cloud • Oct 10, 2007 7:15 pm
It's a dom/sub variation, with one person pretending to be a horse, usually wearing a mask, bit, and harness, and the other person being the "rider."

(Thank you, HBO!)
theotherguy • Oct 10, 2007 7:16 pm
Nope. That does not appeal to me.
Aliantha • Oct 10, 2007 7:16 pm
oh nice. so it's a childhood game turned into something nasty.
jinx • Oct 10, 2007 7:39 pm
You forgot about the feather duster shoved in the ass to give the pony a "tail".

You liar!!

If I wanted to ride you around the bedroom....you'd so be in it.

Does anyone else have this funny little visual of jinx riding LJ around with a feather duster up his arse???

Buahahahahahahahaha
lumberjim • Oct 10, 2007 10:34 pm
no. they dont.
Clodfobble • Oct 10, 2007 11:26 pm
It is pretty much a guarantee that any sexual activity whose name involves the word "play" is only going to make me laugh.
lumberjim • Oct 10, 2007 11:28 pm
assplay?
Clodfobble • Oct 10, 2007 11:36 pm
Yeah, that'll make me laugh.

Possibly followed by, "Oh, you were serious? Pssh. Who are you and what have you done with my real husband?"
Flint • Oct 10, 2007 11:39 pm
I like a little ballplay. That's what I call it (not out loud).
DucksNuts • Oct 10, 2007 11:45 pm
Is that like a bit of a tongue roll....or...something else?
Aliantha • Oct 11, 2007 2:23 am
ok, now that you said it i do Ducks, and it's making me giggle at my computer. Specially since the feathers are pink.
DanaC • Oct 11, 2007 5:23 am
Now add a high-stepping, horsey trot....
DucksNuts • Oct 11, 2007 5:49 am
Bwahahahahahahaha....I may have peed a little at the thought of LJ doing a high stepping pony trot.
LabRat • Oct 11, 2007 10:44 am
Clod, foreplay is no laughing matter! For shame.
Clodfobble • Oct 11, 2007 11:13 am
I know! It wasn't until I was telling Mr. Clod about this thread later last night when he pointed out "foreplay." Then he laughed and pointed at me.

Pegging means you are homosexual: Ok everyone, Go!!
:)

Aren't the ponies usually nubile young ladies?
It's a fairly light form of bondage and submission, to harness a beautiful girl with leather, comb out her long hair and get her trotting round the room with perky breasts bobbing...

I first heard/ saw it in Secretary. About the only time spanking has ever turned me on was when James Spader was administering it. I nearly slid off my chair.

Ride me? Sure. Stick a feather duster in my ass? No.
BrianR • Oct 11, 2007 4:02 pm
you mean pony play like thus?

Warning, not safe for work or school.

I can't remember just now how to post the video.
Sundae • Oct 11, 2007 4:04 pm
Damn, love those boots!
lumberjim • Oct 11, 2007 4:06 pm
people are SO fucked up.
theotherguy • Oct 11, 2007 4:53 pm
That is hilarious. Just how does that turn someone on?

Ya know....Ducks did say something about getting on the fucking horse. I wonder if this is what she meant...
Aliantha • Oct 11, 2007 7:41 pm
farking weirdos. lol
DucksNuts • Oct 11, 2007 9:13 pm
Those boots are awesome, they dont look too hard to get about in either.

I dont think yellow is LJ's colour though.....?
Cloud • Oct 11, 2007 9:35 pm
Do you remember Madonna's confession concert that played on HBO a while back? She had a whole number a la pony play.

I quite get the dress up thing; and the power play thing; I just don't quite get the horse thing.
Aliantha • Oct 11, 2007 9:36 pm
you should as the british royal family. Charlie is right into it...apparently? lol

One website (I forget which one) was selling pony-play items.
One of the items was a tail mounted on a double vibrator, for vaginal and anal stimulation.
These vibrators were 8" long and about 2" across.
"Guarantied not to accidentally fall out, no matter how hard the pony is ridden."
Sundae • Oct 12, 2007 10:44 am
I just don't get any fetishism.
I mean I can understand being turned on by something that is not by its own nature sexual. But only for foreplay. If something turns me on I want it to end with a good hard shag, not replace it altogether!

What!? No link! :D

What's especially funny for me about that video is, I have done almost exactly that, in the role of the woman in black.

See, in college I directed a performance of Equus ("telling the story of a psychiatrist who attempts to treat a young man who has a pathological sexual fascination with horses.") There are six actors playing horses in the show, and we had many sessions where I worked with them on the proper way to walk and bob the head so as best to indicate a horse without looking comical. They were wearing these crazy metaphorical horse heads made of welded metal, however, not yellow pleather.

Makes me re-evaluate the enjoyment I got from watching the Galloping Gourmet when I was a kid.
