Misc Biker Pics
From a local Shriners poker run.

Bike of One-legged Pete our local tat artist who lost a leg in a bike reck.

They convinced this chick she was to conservatively dressed and she let these guys cut her clothes off.

Hot babes every where.

Famous weiner snatch.

My ride.
I like the minimalist machines, particularly the one in the first picture in post #2. But that thing has got to be LOUD!
Crazy hand shifter on that Indian. That would be a tough transition.
Ya , would take a minute or two , throttle left hand , foot clutch / hand shift ... yikes !

I noticed that too. Pretty cool. Love the color on the first red one and the wheels/tires on the green one with the straight pipes.
man....they're really starting to look like cartoons.
this one especially for some reason.....maybe the exaggerated pipes? you ride, merc? your bike pics?

Yea, this one is mine:
http://cellar.org/showpost.php?p=391565&postcount=3This bike belongs to a relative in NY.
It's got to be 10 years old or more but it's a cool ride.
These are just after returning from the 911 ride through NYC, DC and Somerset.
This bike doesnt see much action in the past years but the 911 ride is always on the schedule.
A cool old Cushman Scooter.
Jim Lehers new
book freatures an old Cushman scooter.
Slang, a good buddy of mine rode from Savannah, Ga all the way up there and back for that ride.
I am heading to Biketoberfest in Daytona, Fl on Thurs. I should have a load of pics to share when I come back next week.
Well it was a great long weekend. I have about 700 pics to choose from. I will try to get them posted to a pic host site in the next few days if anyone wants to see them.
My dad's a Harley man. He just back from doing the dragon on his brand new bike - got rid of the roadking for something a little easier on my mom's ass...
He's pictures 68-72.
Yeah, VW engine, but what is it in? Custom one-off or adaption of another application?
Muahahaha! I *thought* that'd throw you.
BigV and xoB, you're partially right.
Those are vdub heads on a beemer motor, and trany (note the shaft drive) in an Indian frame. At least that's what I was told, I'm not a biker. The way I drive I need four wheels under me.
Apparently this guy is a beemer man, threw this all together, and has been riding it for years! I was told he's put over 300,000 miles on it.
I don't think so. That's no Beemer motorcycle engine. Did BMW make a flat 4, air-cooled, car engine?
I surely don't know, that's just what I was told.
I don't know much about 2-wheelers.
Now that you mention it, that pulley/distributor configuration *does* look like the back of a bug. Maybe he mated it to the trany.
*Now* I recall, BMW cylinders and trany on a veedub block.
That makes more sense. Hell of a project, anyway. Thanks for the pictures.
A friend of mine did a frame off on this 100ci Shovel

Shoot2kill, great pics. We went to the Arlen Ness store now located next to Bruce Rossmiers Harley Shop near Daytona. Some really beautiful bikes in there. Here is one from the shop:

I like that Organ donor bike ! Can't have enough HP !:D Great fun till you hit the first turn in the road !

I've expected to see this type of bike made of bamboo here in the Phils. Seen some pretty half assed stuff but not like this, yet. :D

Or maybe this should be in the WTF thread?
I'm sure OCC didn't build that. :D
Although, the 'wood' finish is nice.
Last one , " the main street shot " from Sturgis . A million of these shots taken ....

What a cool domino action you could have.
What a cool domino action you could have.
Darn it Shawnee! I was just going to post that.
Great minds and all. ;)
Someone around here has a really old Harley. I can't remember the exact year but I think it's early 1900's? It's fascinating. I see it at car shows around here from time to time.
Great minds wouldn't leave town alive.
Ha, ha... love the old school hardtail marking it's territory.
Great shots Shoot! Broken Spoke was a hopping place in Oct.
OCC's Intel Bike:

192 c-inch engine, you will need asbestos pants to drive that one.
Hmmm.... 250 hp, Intel inside... can you say blue screen of death?
192 c-inch engine, you will need asbestos pants to drive that one.
Paul Sr. didn't. He wore his usual jeans.
The V-quad engine is actually just 2 V-twins side-by-side.
Hmmm.... 250 hp, Intel inside... can you say blue screen of death?
Naw, it actually works.
Another OCC Creation:

Oh I am sure she would agree to that.:headshake :D
Missed this response...

Forgot 'bout that. Thanks Bru. :D
Same country, different owner:
Bruce! that is crazy. How the hell does he turn that beast?
It looks to me like it's got a sidecar. I think the Buddha and jap flags are on the front of it.
Ok, I see it now. Still pretty wild. I would love to hear more about the guy and hose he made it.
In the entire thread, I only counted 5 bikes that had things that remotely resembled mufflers. Any bikers care to comment?
Some people labor under the misapprehension that loud pipes save lives. All they ever do is cause noise ordinances.
One of my motorcycles is a little bit loud, but really loud motorcycles annoy me. Denver has been threatening to enforce their noise ordinance, but I haven't noticed any change.

Your statements are un-supported.
Or, your supports are under-stated?
Your statements are un-supported.
I support them.
Why?
They put sirens on firetrucks so you can hear them as well as see them.
I'm not saying they should all lose their mufflers, but you'd certainly notice them more and that'd help keep them from getting run over.
Mufflers generally point backward, so, by the time you hear the motorcycle, it's already going past.
As a motorcycle rider, I don't like loud pipes because it gives non-riders a bad image of riders, and more reason to make rules against them.
Some neighborhoods, condo associations and other municipalities have banned motorcycles, primarily due to noise issues.

WHY ARE MOTORCYCLES PROHIBITED IN OUR COMMUNITY?
The three reasons for the ban is noise, noise, and noise.
...The irritating noise that most residents associate with motorcycles being loud occurs when an illegal after-market exhaust pipe that exceeds state law has been installed. Harley-Davidson motorcycles with legal exhaust pipes are not loud. Patrol officers used them within Canyon Lake to enforce school bus violations and there were no complaints about their noise (only their presence). The noise issue would also be easy to enforce--cycles that exceed state standards would not be able to operate within the community.

A noise study showed that a single loud motorcycle traveling through Paris in the middle of the night would be heard by 200,000 people. That's a lot of people to irritate just so you can have loud pipes.
The whistles go whoooooo!!!

Bwa hahaha!!!
I love how bub rub and lil sis about get into an accident driving away to show off their new 'pipes'... Oy.

Well, the cops have them on tape running a stop sign. The next woooo woooo he hears might be a police siren.
The next woooo woooo he hears might be a police siren.
The beauty of it is, he
won't be able to hear the police siren.
I do not understand this need to draw attention to oneself. Why is there such a cultural need to point out that you are stupid and inconsiderate, and fuck all if they don't like it?
That whistle thingy is illegal here.
How is it not illegal there?
I think the topic isn't about trying to showing off, rather it's about being safe.
You can certainly hear any bike with straight pipes well before it comes into view, unless you just happen to be looking that way.
BrianR's statement that "all they do is cause noise ordinances." ignores this fact.
Noise for the sake of noise is surely dumb, but noise for the sake of safety is a proven fact.
One of my pet peeves is bikers that sit at the light and constantly goose the throttle, as if their motor was going to stall. But that doesn't change the fact that loud pipes will let you know there is a bike around, and that *can* save a life.
and that *can* save a life.
Probably doesn't though, and they're annoying as fuck all to people that live in popular biking areas.
But that doesn't change the fact that loud pipes will let you know there is a bike around, and that *can* save a life.
Not if every potentially dangerous item on the road made a loud noise. people would either go deaf or wear ear defenders. No added safety. also, loud bikes (and other vehicles) can prevent blind pedetrians hearing the pedestrain crossing signals.
Perhaps, though, we could kill two birds with one stone, so to speak, by forcing people with dangerous driving points on their licenses to have these noisemakers attached/mufflers removed. So (a) we can hear the idiots coming, and (b) the noise might lose it's fashion appeal for those who are actually good drivers. I certainly find that operating under the assumption that if i can hear a car a mile away, it is likely to be being badly driven works for me.
how do you feel about shifting into one gear higher than you should be in, and goosing the throttle in a tunnel.....BWAAAAAGGGHT!
I kinda like that.

WHAT HE SAID.
Loud pipes may be good for attracting attention from the car next to you if you are driving at an identical speed, but they have to be really loud and then that invokes the "just pisses people off and makes them hate bikes more principle", so it sort of negates the effect.
I've still never heard how it can be safer for a biker to be sitting still next to my apartment building, and revving his loud engine and pipes. It has always been unsafe for them.
Where are the tits and tats? This should be a NSFW thread.
