OK, no time to deal with hosting my own pics this century, so here's my photojournal taken from the pics from our roadrip in August. Noah's ark style. Please forgive. And don't steal my images -that's like taking my soul and believe you me you don't want to go there.... anyhoo.....

Hope and Seasonal

Hope is the sprogs in Santa Fe NM, waiting for a campfire to make smores when all wood is damp and even dry newspaper won't light....

Crafted and Excitement...
The old artisan's place in Grand Canyon village, and the sprogs watching the helicopters, minutes before we get on one.....

Round and Eerie

A Kiva at Bandoliers National Monument, NM. Inside another one.

Silly and Blue

At the Bud factory in St Louis MO, and camping in Zion National Park, UT.

Regimented and Loud

Sprogs at Mesa Verde, CO; and in the Route 66 museum in OK

Desperate and Carefree

Squirrel mugging hikers for food in Grand Canyon. Getting our kicks on Route 66.

and finally: Unworldly. Bryce Canyon. Awesome.

Nice set Ibram, I like Crafted and Desperate the best.

You both are excellent photographers. I still count it as a success if people have heads in my pictures.

Those are both film images, actually, processed personally in the darkroom. I'll post some more to my DeviantART when i get some more prints done and scanned.

I don't know, jinx. I thought the one of the bull was more 'desperate' than 'carefree,' at least for the photographer.

I was a couple feet away from him, behind a post/rail fence. He was very happily scratching his ass on that tree, without a care in the world...

Yeah I'm a fan, seems to bring out more of the intended mood of the picture with less distracting colors around. Doesn't work for everything but it can def. work very well at times.

1. Hope - A pine tree seedling. The seed was a party favor from a friend's wedding.



2. Seasonal - Indian summer a couple years back.



3. Crafted - A glass blower working at Riedel in Austria.



4. Excitement - Some reckless motorcycle stunt riders in a parade. I didn't get pictures of the stuff that endangered the spectators. I was too busy getting away with my kids. But it was exciting. In a bad way.



5. Round - Grapes in a local vineyard.



6. Eerie - An abandoned WWII bunker in Maine.



7. Silly - Just look at it.



8. Blue



9. Regimented



10. Loud - A leaf truck sucking up leaves. You can hear it from several blocks away.



11. Desperate - This baby cockroach somehow got itself stuck in a drop of epoxy in my basement. The epoxy hardened, and the roach was glued to the floor alive. I took several pics and then squished it.



12. Carefree - Nothing like staring into a fire to erase your brain waves.



13. Unworldly

glatt - that's a good series.

Beautiful. All of them are great.

Love all of them. When I get a battery charger (a bit like There Was This One Time at Band Camp) I will definitely take part. They won't be of the same quality I'm afraid.

I love the difference in interpretation from different parts of the world/ country.

And now we know how pretty you are Monster, after teasing us with obscured shots for so long. Tcha.

Do you like how I can raise one eyebrow, though? I learned that when I found I needed internet smileys IRL. I have a good eye-roll going now, too :lol:

When I get bored, I take photos of myself...cause I've always got my camera, and I've always got me. I decided to run a theme with my 13 and see if I could get photos of myself (either taken new or taken already) that had these themes. I think they turned out pretty well. :D

I (independently) decided to do a similarly focused set of pictures as Razzmatazz13. That is a very hard act to follow, and the only reason I would dare attempt it is that I intend to cheat. You used a pretty young lady as your subject, I'm going to feature an adorable child! Ha! Also, I have no pic webspace, so I'll have a few posts to complete the series.

Razz, you look stunningly beautiful in most of those, but I think Seasonal and Blue really stand out. Blue in particula is a fabulous picture.

V, what's the name of the town in the seasonal picture? Mrs. Dar and I have been there.

We stopped there on the way to a stay at the Mountain Home Lodge in Leavenworth. I can highly recommend them for a quiet getaway.
