Car photos
I've looked and can't find an existing thread on this subject.
Do you like cars? or photos of cars? Post them here.
I'll start with a couple of pictures that I took at the Daimler-[strikeout]Chrysler[/strikeout] Museum in Stuttgart in August.
For contrast, Something old...
Something new...
Sorry about all the background distractions in the first picture.
Unfortunately, I don't have any more information about either vehicle.
Two more from the same museum, but not quite cars, this time.
In photo number 1 is a replica of the first motorcycle made (I think).
The second is a beer wagon.
Well, here's my car:
And here's April's car:
And here's my poor beloved Putt-putt...I wonder what happened to it after Rhoda died:

Beautiful Stormie! And congrats.
Here's mine, pre-lift kit.

PRE LIFT KIT!
meaning...i cant wait until it gets here and is installed! then.....the big honking tires.
Galmer Arbitrage GT Supercar:

PPG Dodge Twin Turbo Interceptor:
Look familiar?
Unfortunately, I don't have any more information about either vehicle.
The first picture is Daimler and Maybach's first car, of course.
The second picture in the proposed staff car for the Forth Reich.
The third picture is Daimler's 1885 "bone-crusher".
A race at Mid-Ohio that I went to this summer:

Some individual shots from the Summit Racing show this summer:

Please send the beer wagon in my direction.
That car/bike thingy is sorta cool. Keeps the rain off you in the weather but it's still a bike (kinda).

Bullitt, nice pictures. Years ago I took pictures, for a local newspaper, at the Concours d'elegance, but that was back in the days of film so I can't post them.
The other sons (younger one) bought this from a guy at work. His son had wrecked the front end and blew the engine. Bought it for $200.00. Bought a motor for 500.00, replaced hood, bumper & grille, headlights and new stereo system 1000.00. Merry Christmas! -last year.

Bruce,
I think you're pulling my leg.
Would I lie to you?.... my oldest and dearest friend.....
if it didn't involve money or sex.
In your post, did you take that picture? What is it?
No I didn't. It's a radically customized one of a kind. If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say a late '30s GM product, probably Chevy or Buick.
That Bierwagon looks familiar. I used to see one in Staufen, West Germany back in the 80's. It was used in the vineyards though, not the hops fields.
Here are a couple more.
This first shot isn't terribly artistic, but it was cool at the time. This was spring of 1988, and in my humble opinion, the best car in the world at that time was the Porsche 959. It was a true supercar. Only 200 of them were built. That's a magic number, because it was the number they had to make in order to qualify for some stock car status for a wide range of rally races run in Europe at that time. I took a trip to the Porsche factory with some friends, and we happened to notice this lot, where around 40 or so of the brand spanking new cars were being stored. That's 40 out of 200.
Later, just outside the Porsche Museum at the factory, we ran into a guy who was taking delivery of his brand new 959. He's the guy in the yellow sweater. He let us drool over the car for a while, but finally drove off as the crowd got a bit larger.

I just assumed that those were beer barrels. I suppose you're right.
My 59 Chevy Impala..when I was in the army ....When cars were made of US Steel...(scanned Kodachrome slide)

... and had style.
what it's for...
how it ends up...

I had a '67 beetle which was to be my project car. I drove it 4 times. It caught on fire twice. Paid $150. Sold it burnt for $300.
S2K, some nice cars and very good shooting.
Where was the show, BC?
Tex - OH SNAP!
S2K - loved the '57, not a cadillac fan, SWEET '68, nova's decent too.

I thought it was a '56.
Edit:
Now I think I'm wrong, based on this picture:
I found it
here, and it's identified as a '57.
I just went out to get some dinner. There was a car show (or at least a bunch of old cars - many with the hoods up) in the parking lot next door. There were a lot of late 60s-early 70s muscle cars, a few old hot rods, and a few newer Corvettes.
But I did not have my camera.
in the parking lot next door
Is it a Sonic? Every thursday night there's a huge car show gathering at the Sonic down the street. Very frequently there are gatherings of clubs of all kinds... jeeps, mini's, xb's.... and that was just this week.

Either that or In-and-Out Burger (I've passed it many times but never noticed what it is).
I talked to some people who said that they are there every Wednesday, as long as the weather is nice. I'll try to remember to bring my camera next week. They also said that there is a big car show in Golden the first Saturday of the month.
I like the car from " Two Lane Blacktop " it was a 55 but the 57 looks pretty good also . I would be happy with that RT Charger or this Stang ....

Our baby. We sold it two years after we got it. But we did love it.

My current rides.

Merc, you should really get her face checked out...could be contagious. ;)
Very subtle, Merc. That made me laugh.

i think one of his rides might have a differing opinion. maybe.

Yeah, cars can get mighty jealous.
:dunce:
How much did you pay for her?
How much did you pay for her?
She is fucking expensive. But worth every dime.
Sometimes I find Hot Wheels lined up around the house. My son seems to have inherited my obsessive-compulsive traits. Gotta go check the stove...
My son lines up his cars also. He usually tells me they are racing. He was a bit obsessed the the movie Cars.
I wish my kids had a little OCD. just a little... as it is, they've inherited chaos from both parents.....
Lifted. New rear shocks. Handles like a Jeep now.
I tried to get jim to put on a cute outfit and pose next to it, but he got all "degrading" and "don't objectify me" and shit...

Ah...you have a Commander. I thought you had a Liberty...then I saw the 5.7 badge and was like, "WTF?" Looks good!
You need some big bling wheels now and tint the windows and your FSM badge!!
Thanks syc.
We have been wheel shopping. I haven;t seen anything I like better than what's on there (well, enough better to actually buy them anyway). Black would be ideal but likely impossible to match. I think I'd be fine with these rims and bigger tires.
And the fsm badge is right out, ever since I discovered the obx magnet I had on there was scratching the paint. No more magnets.
I put mine on with double sided tape, we just used prep-sol to get it off when I traded the last vehicle and it didnt mark at all.
I like the charger. A guy here at work and his son are building a rat rod similar to the last photo. This is a pic of a mustang he restored, this year.
