On the move

I am moving (yet again) to a new place next week. Not a big move, just from Scottsdale to Phoenix in AZ. And it got me to thinking of how many times I have moved in my almost 47 years.
The count is now at 24! I must have REALLY loved wandering in the desert for 40 years in a past life.
Anybody top that count? Anybody still living in the same house they were born in?

I figured out the other day that I have moved nine times since I moved to this town right out of college. 9 times in almost 20 years...so I can't beat your record, but it still seems a lot. I didn't count growing up or through college; we moved while I was young until I was in first grade because my dad's job took us around a bit.

I have moved much more than I realized. I just counted it up and I have moved 13 times! Without counting, I would have guessed much lower.

I've got one up on you, Sheldon--25 times. But that includes a few back-and-forth moves between the Southwest and the East Coast.

A total of four houses between two parents growing up... Then on my own, I've lived in 8 places since 1998, not counting the summer I stayed with my parents again after freshman year (WHOA big mistake,) or the boyfriends' houses that for all intents and purposes I lived in, I just never paid rent on.

But the house we just bought, we intend to stay in for the long term foreseeable future.

Go down Moses!

After being away for 40 years, Moses sees a strange site in the desert, a bush on fire, but the fire does not consume the bush. When Moses investigates more closely, he encounters God, speaking to him through the bush. God has a mission for Moses. Moses is to lead the Israelites out of Egypt and take them to Canaan, the land God had promised their ancestor Abraham.

do you wander while you wonder?;)

I don't know what you mean. You must have read my post wrong. I would never make such a silly mistake as typing wondering instead of wandering. ;)

And yse, I always wonder as I wander. :)

Only about a dozen times for me, since fleeing the nest.

Hope this is a good move for you Sheldon.

Thanks Bruce. I think it will be. It's a lot closer to work.
And it's closer to the gym that I've been paying for and not going to.

That will certainly make it more convenient and affordable to not go from here on out.

I work at the hospital I was born in, so I guess I haven't gone far. . . . I think the inward journey is where it's at.
