Both drove the chart position and they reached #24 in the US, as high as #7 in some Euro countries. Both are still in use as semi-novelty songs. Which was part of Queen's problem, that too much of their stuff was semi-novelty.

In Queen's defense...their main comeptition for fans in their heyday was KISS.

It's a fine line. I wonder whether ZZ Top was skating on the edge of semi-novelty, sometimes. But, as the official coolest guys in the world, they scoff at such concerns. They just don their cheap sunglasses and eat some TV dinners while they do the tube snake boogie.

The Eurovision Song Contest has affected my sense of judgement.
For me, every day is the boringest day here (not that I think that was the real reason behind the poll somehow) because I am in the wrong time zone. I'd wake up early and catch the Aussies, but HM takes the laptop to bed, so I don't get it til midday.
Then I get tired before most of the Merkins come out to play.

My daughter's music teacher was really into Queen and they did an entire school concert of their music
It's not an issue of the most boring day, it's an issue of the more boring time of the day.
Being 13 hours ahead of Philly time can be boring.
Fortunately night time is the right time for me but even still. :D
