For me, it wasThe Adventures Of Sharkboy And Lavagirl on Disney Channel
Sure it's a bit childish, but it's rather enjoyable. And Lavagirl's kinda perdy.

I assume that was deliberate humour? :P
Last movie I saw on TV was
Dog Soldiers on ITV,
which I've been meaning to watch for the longest time and am really glad I waited for. Turns out it really is at its best, watched alone in the dark as the clock ticks its way past the Witching Hour.
Good solid horror flick. Very tense, with occassional humour to lighten it, but not corny humour. Well acted and well written, with the emphasis on human interraction, but with lots....lots.....of blood and gore.An entire movie? On TV? It was probably Sound of Music a year or so ago on some holiday. Or maybe Shrek. I think I watched that in the last year.
Edit: Oops. I forgot the review in italics. Both are good movies. I think they both could be considered classics at this point.
Out of sheer boredom, and lack of cable, I saw Anchorman over the weekend. It was as stupid as I expected it to be. I chuckled slightly a couple times, but that was about it.
Probably "This Movie is not Yet Rated". It was amusing.
On satellite tv I watched "First Fifty Dates" which got me teary eyed. aww
I get sappy when I don't feel well.
Followed by Cyote Ugly on the same channel which suprised me. I seems channels these days are 'theme based' in their line ups lately.
Pink Flamingos is amazingly horriffic.
I don't watch TV. I can't stand commercials and am unwilling to pay for cable - which I understand has lots of commercials now too.

I saw part of that this weekend--my favorite scene when all the networks meet up to fight. I love when Tim Robbins shows up with the public television gang, hee hee.
That was a part I chuckled at...that scene was pretty good.
The Haunting Hour: Don't think about it. on CN.

[*]Cassie's life changes when she moves and attends a high school ruled by the most beautiful girl in school, Priscilla and her beautiful sidekicks. Priscilla immediately takes a dislike to Cassie, and soon it's a battle between the two. But when Priscilla goes missing, along with Cassie's younger brother, Max, Cassie must go on an adventure and search for them before it's too late... Written by A Fan
Emily Osment plays 13 year old gothic girl, Cassie, trying to fit in at her new school. To entertain herself, she plays a series of pranks on the popular kids (Brittany Curran from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Cody Linley from Hannah Montana) and her younger brother, Max. When she goes to a Halloween store looking for new tricks, she finds a little book called 'The Evil Thing.' The Evil Thing is a monster two kids made up, and if you think about it, it will haunt you. And if you try not to think about it, you can't think of anything else! Maybe that's why the book says ' Don't Think About It.' on the last page. And that's when the spooky adventure begins.

Yes, but some shows are totally worth the irritation of commercials. Like
Family Guy's version of
Star Wars, which is on right now (CST) on FOX.
I dont watch commercial TV either and I had the *cable* disconnected since they play the same shit over and over again, plus I never remember when shows I want to watch are on....I just buy the movie or boxed set.
Well...to each his/her own, I guess
Saving Private Ryan.
Even edited for TBS it was still greatness.

watch it 7 more times.

Twitched Too on Disney Channel west
Back to School on Comedy Central...God I love that movie!
"Pathfinder" and it sucked. After about 3/4 of the movie, I shut it off after the roasting-alive-head-first scene.
:(
You know, I honestly can't remember the last time.... if I didn't see it in theaters, and I couldn't be bothered to buy or rent the DVD, I'm not going to watch the chopped up with commercials version.
oh my mother-fucking god.
I just saw
Brick on HBO.
Fucking incredible. Real effin' weird, but a really good movie. Lots of really great camera work, awesome plot, real dark... and they ended with Sister Ray (Velvet Underground!).
Go see it.
NOW.
Superman Returns on HBO Family
...and the son shall become the father.
Devil's Diary on Lifetime Movie Network
Liar Liar on TNN
TNN effectively no longer exists, hon. Hasn't since August 11th, 2003.
I believe you mean Spike TV.
Maybe that's when she saw it! ;)
Maybe that's when she saw it! ;)
Possibly. :D
Watching some shitty die hard movie, that one with samuel l jackson and lotsa gold in it. It's either that or Black Hawk Down for the umpteenth time.
Galaxy Quest on HBO Family
The Santa Clause on Disney Channel
Wizard of Oz
It was a full hour longer on commercial TV than on video
About 15 minutes of what I think was Hot Shots Part Deux.
I saws the Canterville Ghost with Patrick Stewart and Neve Campbell on free movies on demand. Sweet.
Mr. Skeffington, on TCM this past weekend, starring Bette Davis and Claude Rains. I missed the very beginning, so until I looked it up on IMDB just now, I thought the movie's title was Mrs. Skeffington. It would've made more sense, since the story revolved completely around Ms. Bette.
Metal: A Headbanger's Journey on VH1 Classic
Of course, I also have it on DVD, so I could've watched it unedited and commercial free, but I'm lazy. Sky High on Disney Channel
Back To The Future, Part II followed by Little Shop Of Horrors on HBO Family west
Part 3 of the greatest trilogy ever made. Take a guess at what I'm refering to.
The Godfather - of course.
The Godfather - of course.
Try again.
Hint: FantasyEasy. You're talking about the Back To The Future franchise.

science fiction.

Ok, ok. Here's the answer: Lord Of The Rings
I was going to say Highlander.
I was going to say Highlander.
Highlander is
5 movies.
1 was great; 2 was pretty bad, but watchable; 3 and 4 were ok, but 5 was total shit.
Talladega Nights: The Ballad Of Ricky Bobby on Starz! west
Ok, ok. Here's the answer: Lord Of The Rings
Um, no. Lord, no. ;)
Mine was a joke though. The first Back to the Future was pretty good. The 2nd and 3rd sucked.
I just watched The Incredibles on Sunday.
It's a Wonderful Life. :sniff:
Um, no. Lord, no. ;)
Explain.
Not my kind of movie, I guess.
Not my kind of movie, I guess.
Just for clarafication, I was referring to Peter Jackson's versions, not that 1978 animated piece o' shit.
Uh, yeah...didn't even know there was an animated piece o' shit, just knew the regular piece of shit ;)
Notorious C.H.O. on Logo
Star Wars, Episode IV: A New Hope on HBO
Star Wars, Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back followed by The Princess Bride on HBO Family
Pan's Labyrinth on Film Four.
Wow. Just wow. This film just jumped straight into my top ten movies of all time:)
Half Baked on Fuse :rasta:
Ice Princess on Disney Channel
Uh, yeah...didn't even know there was an animated piece o' shit, just knew the regular piece of shit ;)
That was some pretty cool animation back in 1978. I dig Bakshi, so I was able to put aside my lifelong dislike of LOTR to smoke some weed and watch it.
lol, wolf. I might enjoy that animated piece o' shit after all! :)
I just watched Spider-Man 3.
Time wasted, never to return. I expected no less.
Flags Of Our Fathers - HBO
The China Syndrome. Jack Lemmon really steals the show towards the end of the film. It's a pretty good movie.
Minutemen on Disney Channel
Godfather on A&E - again.
Remember The Titans -- ABC Family Channel
Excellent film. At the first commercial break, I decided to find our copy of the movie and watch it without the commercials. Great idea, miserable execution. The disc was nowhere to be found. Twenty minutes later I gave up. The movie was still well worth it, commercials and all. That little girl, asst coach Yoast the younger, she steals the show.
I saw that last night too! One of my fav sports movies, it is.
Jesus. Never watch it.
I remembered a few images (haven't thought of them since I was like 5/6 years old), but man, if I'd remembered more, I'd not have bothered.
Think Road Warrior, dipped in corrosive acid for the sake of glittery 80's children.
I blame the skimpy outfit of that desert-dweller covered in virtual ants for my homosexuality (that and The Dark Crystal, and the Thundercats, and Huckleberry Hound).
I'm actually 30% serious.
Knight Rider on NBC, and I'm lookin' forward to Saturday.
I saw part of that this weekend--my favorite scene when all the networks meet up to fight. I love when Tim Robbins shows up with the public television gang, hee hee.
that movie sux on t.v. they use all the replacement words. I guess it's because i have the unrated version :/
Knight Rider on NBC, and I'm lookin' forward to Saturday.
Apparently, I had that wrong. If KR goes to series, it'll be this fall
The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift on Starz
Shadow Of The Vampire on HBO Signature
RoboCop 2 on Encore Action
Grindhouse.
Meh. I'm too young to be nostalgic for Quentin's childhood cinema experience. As always, some beautiful filmmaking in there, but it didn't really come together for me.
For 3 weekends in a row, our local CW played the same Sandra Bullock/Ben Affleck movie. THREE! And it was not a good movie, certainly not saved by Ben's formidable acting skills.
They changed it up last week. They announced "Armed and Dangerous" was coming up (don't know what that is) but a movie about 1880 New Zealand starring Jodi Foster and John Lithgow came on. I kept wondering when Jodi would pull out the Uzi and start blasting sheep. Never happened. The movie was called "Mesmerized" and I believe the title alluded to the "wtf am I doing watching this crap" feeling I had during its duration. I kept expecting it to get better. Not.
