FedCom

Are you tired of trying to cut through the red tape in your government? Exhausted from fighting an entrenched and corrupt bureaucracy that seems to be biased against you? In disagreement with ridiculous laws in your home country? Upset over being fed lies by your government? Sick and tired of taxes on top of taxes? Angry over being fed unrelenting propaganda that you do not agree with in the first place? Worried about new laws that intend to strip you of your privacy and reduce you to just a number? Frustrated over a lack of choices in your nation's limited political parties? Disgusted by "political correctness" and the rewriting of history to reflect this idea?

Do you want to feel like you finally fit in somewhere? Do you want to feel like you matter as a person? Do you want to live someplace where you are measured by your contributions and abilities, rather than by your wealth or family/political connections?

Then perhaps the Federated Commonwealth is the right place for you! This micronation is on the verge of establishing a permanent settlement and attaining sovereign status, but first we would like to extend a warm welcome to as many people as we can. We have a place for everybody: all you need to do is to be willing to listen and learn.

Simply put, we are seeking individuals of strong character, who would be willing to abandon their home country and start fresh in a new land.
Additional information can be found on our website and forum. Everyone is invited to register and join our forum community.

Applications for foreign-citizenship will be reviewed on a first-come, first-serve basis. No purchase is necessary. To receive the full benefits of citizenship, prospective citizens will be expected to move to FedCom home territory when such territory has been acquired; you will be notified when this occurs. The Government of FedCom reserves the right to accept or reject any application, with or without explanation. FedCom citizenship is not recognized by other nations, so you do not automatically receive diplomatic immunity. The Government of FedCom cannot be held responsible for your actions while you are visiting/living in any country that does not recognize FedCom as a sovereign nation.

I blew my life savings on Oceania!
Terminator_484 • Sep 6, 2007 10:56 pm
Nobody is asking for your money. Where did you get that idea from?
Cloud • Sep 7, 2007 12:43 am

ETA: Excuse me. I mean no, thank you.
lumberjim • Sep 7, 2007 1:44 am

With 6 males between the ages of 14 and 64 and 1 female over age 65, you will probably have some population growth issues.

Among other things.

You lost us somewhere between the Supreme Dictator for Life with a Secret Will Naming his Successor and Burning the Whisky.
DucksNuts • Sep 7, 2007 5:10 am
Thats for that synopsis Wolf. I couldnt be fagged reading the whole bloody kit n caboodle, but gathered it wasnt really my thing.

Thats a big NO from me too.
Flint • Sep 7, 2007 2:54 pm

Or not.

What do you care anyway? It is not like it is offensive or anything; just a fact.

More like the Hutt River thing.
FedCom just wants sovereign status. Nothing more, and nothing less.
TheMercenary • Nov 9, 2007 8:58 pm
Fantasy play, and imaginary friends and countries, are an important part of any childs development.
Terminator_484 • Nov 9, 2007 10:07 pm
FedCom is no more a fantasy than Taiwan or Tibet, and no less real than any other nation on Earth. Just because the UN chooses not to officially "recognize" a nation, does not mean that such a nation is fake.

FedCom is real, our citizens are real, our government is real, and anyone who says otherwise is a liar and a moron.

Is it so hard to imagine starting a new country? Every nation currently on the map started in exactly the same way. FedCom is no different, and neither is any other aspirant state.
Flint • Nov 9, 2007 10:08 pm
That is a delightful post and I agree with you and you're right about all that stuff.
Terminator_484 • Nov 9, 2007 10:10 pm
Ah, typo. Fixed.

Who is "skysidhe"?
Flint • Nov 9, 2007 10:11 pm
What are you taking about?
Terminator_484 • Nov 9, 2007 10:14 pm
No. What are you taking about?
Flint • Nov 9, 2007 10:21 pm
Stop copy-catting me.
Terminator_484 • Nov 9, 2007 10:29 pm
I am not copying you.

If I had any such desire to do so, I would. However, you have given me no such reason to even consider copying anything you do.
Flint • Nov 9, 2007 10:46 pm
Okay, crazy-pants. You're the one coming out of left field and going apeshit on me for no readily apparent reason. . . . :::backs away slowly:::
Clodfobble • Nov 9, 2007 11:01 pm
I just had a crazy thought, and I'm slowly becoming more convinced of it.

Is Terminator_484 a sock-puppet of Radar's?
lumberjim • Nov 9, 2007 11:10 pm
i wish i had the ability to view ip's....we're constantly suspecting people of being sockpuppets
Clodfobble • Nov 9, 2007 11:51 pm
Yabbut, seriously?

FedCom is no more a fantasy than Taiwan or Tibet, and no less real than any other nation on Earth... and anyone who says otherwise is a liar and a moron.

Tell me that's not a perfect imitation of Radar's rhetoric! And of course the topic is right up his alley.

Meanwhile, their posting times have been strongly correlated since Terminator joined. See all of Terminator's posting dates below:

Sept. 6th - Terminator posts intermittently from 8:43 to 10:22, with one random post from Radar in the middle at 9:34. Radar was previously on at 10:54 that morning, and other than that has not posted for two days prior, or four days after.

Sept. 22nd - Terminator posts at 7:07, then Radar gets on for his first post of several at 7:13.

Nov. 9th - Radar is on intermittently throughout the day, with a dense string of posts from 7:15 to 7:38. Then Terminator then starts posting at 7:41.

At this point, I'd bet cash money on it.

EDIT: Which is not to say I care, or want some sort of result if it turns out I'm right. (I do think it would be telling that even batshit-gungho-Libertarian Radar wouldn't want to admit to being a FedCom shill in front of us, but that's just amusing more than anything.) I'm just proud of my sleuthing, and couldn't help sharing, is all.
lumberjim • Nov 9, 2007 11:56 pm
i'd bet you $5 just to find out the answer. : proffers hand:
Clodfobble • Nov 9, 2007 11:59 pm
Done. *shakes*

But I don't think UT will feel obligated to check just because there's money on the line. :)
Ibby • Nov 10, 2007 12:00 am
No, the 'laws' of their fairy-land are way too fascist for Radar to advertise. Smoking a cigarette will get you three years in a hard labour camp there. That is total bullshit.
lumberjim • Nov 10, 2007 12:00 am
pah.

we'll know withing the hour
Undertoad • Nov 10, 2007 1:39 pm
Sorry I was asleep. The IPs are quite different.
lumberjim • Nov 10, 2007 2:19 pm

i'd like to donate my winnings to the tip mug.

Wow, sounds like a blast. Can't wait to pack and and leave. :jagoff:

Actually, it gets worse, somehow.

Section 3
Punishment for Bandits
Crimes listed under Section 2 of this Act are Capital Offenses, punishable only by death.

Only standing FedCom military forces may carry out the punishment for Bandits.

Bandits are simply to be executed on sight. Wherever possible, they shall be used as a training medium for new FedCom warriors.

Fuck trials, remember that Judge Dread movie? Let's just do that, guys. Fucking morons.

FedCom is a small micronation that remains relatively unknown to the international community. Spurred on by ever increasing American unilateralism and militarism, unsatisfied by that nation's progress in both technological and political endeavors, and motivated against the rampant political corruption, Robert LORD founded a new nation, and set forth to build it into the greatest nation in the history of mankind. In 1993, FedCom began its formation as a mere club of school friends. By the turn of the century, it had evolved into a full-fledged and bold plan for the future. By 2001, the seeds of the current government had been laid, and the military was established. By 2002, the government evolved into a meritocracy, utilizing a caste-based system to organize its citizens and streamline the efficiency of the small society. Currently, official laws are being written, government positions are being filled, and the government is looking for suitable land to claim.

I guess I shouldn't be so harsh. This is probably just a really long term Dungeons and Dragons campaign. C'est la vie, I guess.

Greetings from Becky Land, this nation is an Absolute Monarchy. We are ruled by a Queen who is both, beautiful, and terrible. We have a work force of 1 who is a slave to his mistresses demands. we have a standing army of one 300 lb gorilla.
Immagration is by invation only.
Tax rate is 100%
GNP $1400.00 per month.
