Has anyone ever had french fries?

Shawnee123 • Aug 29, 2007 2:03 pm
When was it? Were they good? How much were they? Where did you get them? Would you buy them again? Do your friends eat french fries? Where do they get them? How much do they pay? Are they having a good experience with the french fries? Did they share them? How many did they share? Do they own stock in french fries? Did they feed one to their dog? Did the dog like the french fry? How long did it take to eat them? Were they small, medium, or large packages? Were they curly, or straight? Were they thin, or thick? Did they have a beverage with their fries? What was the beverage? Did it taste good with the fries? Was there a better beverage they could have had with the fries? If they had a beverage how much did they pay for it? Were they happy with that beverage? Did their dog drink water after eating the fries? Did you take the dog for a walk? After the walk, did he eat more fries? Where do you plan to get your next fries? Do you tend to mix it up, or are there certain fries that you lean towards buying? Is it because of the taste or the cost? Have you ever been mugged for your fries? Have the fry people ever screwed you over when handing you the fries, like, did they drop them, or overcharge you, or steal your bankcard, or spit on them, or forget the salt? What did you do with the fry package when you were done? Did you throw it into a trashcan. Did you find one of the "Thank You" boxes and discard of your fry receptacle? Was it in a good spot? How many fry boxes were already in it?

LabRat • Aug 29, 2007 2:55 pm
WTF???

I thought this was your busy time of the year, what with students coming back and all....

Feeling a little manic?
Trilby • Aug 29, 2007 3:00 pm
mmmm....french fries, a mysterious parking lot thread, blue eggs in a dishwasher and recommendations for ritalin...a premature diagnosis of mania...and all Shawnee really wants to do is blow off some steam.

I like!
Shawnee123 • Aug 29, 2007 3:00 pm
Our busy time of year runs about Jan to November. Actually, classes started Monday (like yours did) so there isn't much screaming going on this week.

I don't know, just having a little fun, checking responses. I type fast. :D

Besides, ten times I brushed my hair and the cat went outside even though I had bought a new truck 10 years ago.

You get it! You rock! I don't normally expect anyone to get my sense of humor, but then...a lot of people are realllllllly dumb. Posts as dumb as posts, ya know? :)

pssst, by the way...try to be quiet, I can't tell you WHY I ask these questions. Just know it is of the utmost importance to the scientists at...shit, I've said too much.
Trilby • Aug 29, 2007 3:04 pm
Oh, i get yours and LJ's...

*thinks*

...wonder what that means?
HungLikeJesus • Aug 29, 2007 3:10 pm
You must type fast. I don't even have time to read all that.

But now I really, really want french fries - with extra salt. And maybe a milkshake.

I believe you're practicing subliminal suggestion (but without the subliminal part). First this, now french fries.

I hope you don't bring up Bourbon.
Shawnee123 • Aug 29, 2007 3:14 pm
 Sometimes all you have to do is ask.

And remember a Cellar Golden Rule: All work and no play makes even interesting people dull. Imagine what it does to the boring ones.

My boss just ran in to my office and said that he has to leave because his dogs disappeared and he was going to go look for them. I was this " " close to asking him if he would bring back some french fries.

The last thing we did before leaving Germany a few weeks back was to go to a chocolate shop in Frankfurt and spend 30 euros on chocolate. We got chocolate with cinnamon, chocolate with elderberries, chocolate with hot chillies - I don't even remember all the kinds of chocolate we bought. When we got home, we put it all in a big plastic box on the kitchen counter.

It's going to take us weeks to eat all that chocolate.

When we were in Freeport ME last week, the missus and I stopped in the Lindt factory outlet. They have some hysterical engrish* on the labels of their chocolate, so they were dumping it cut rate in their factory store. Lindt is my favorite chocolate bar by far. We bought too much. They also had huge bins of truffles by the pound. Mmm.

*can you really call it engrish if it was poorly translated from German?

Shawnee, it worked - (you hypnotizer, you marketing genius, you subliminal subliminator, you french fry vixen). I just went to Wendy's and had an order of french fries (along with a burger, of course). And this was only 2 hours after lunch.
xoxoxoBruce • Aug 29, 2007 6:04 pm
That's because your boss was dog hunting.

The best fries are made at Runza. I would be curious to know if anyone else on this board has been to a Runza. Cowhead? Elspode, perhaps? They only exist mostly in Nebraska, but there is one in Kansas and 2 in Colorado.

I don't know 'bout that. Have you ever had Thrasher's? Whether you eat them by themselves, or dipped in ketchup, vinegar, or old bay seasoning, they are the shit!

Now I'M wanting fries!

Those look good, but they lack the crinkles that hold in the grease, better. Also, vinegar is for cleaning things. Not eating.
Shawnee123 • Aug 31, 2007 12:07 pm
So true, case!

case - have you been to Brickyard BBQ? They're on 38th, a little east of Sheridan, on the north side of the street. It's a tiny red building with 3 parking places and about 5 tables.

They have some good fries.

Actually, I like all of their food. Here's a short review.

Wow, that does sound good. We don't eat a lot of meat, but this I would do.

I had waffle fries tonight.

Probably shouldn't have, but hey, they come with the Chick-fil-a combo meal ...

(Chick-fil-a is one of the places I turn to in times of stress, like when my mother is hospitalized.)

I have sadly, shamefully, come to know this. Is it too late to be forgiven, will even the good lord love me now? Should I do some acts of contrition: coupla Our Spudders, or Hail Oilys. Oh groan. :greenface

Well, that didn't follow the funny line I had planned. :o
