Meet Mike Alcalay, one of the faces of the medical marijuana debate. Last week he was in front of the Supreme Court to argue against federal involvement in the medical marijuana debate. Bush himself says he's torn -- between legalization arguments, which he's against, and states' rights, which he's for.
Alcalay is the director of the Oakland Buyers' Cooperative which has been very much up front in the debate. Alcalay himself is an AIDS sufferer. A few years ago a writer, writing about death, asked Alcalay how he was accepting dying. "I'm not accepting it," was his reply.
