August 7, 2007: China's hairiest man... balding

The Chicago Tribune's official caption says China's hairiest man, Yu Zhenhuan, poses on a track in Beijing in his bid to run in next year's Olympic torch relay, state media said this week. But as axlrosen notices, the guy is losing it upstairs.

This is not an uncommon situation. In fact I've heard a rule of thumb that says something like -- the more hair on your chest at age 30, the less hair on your head at age 40. It's not universal, but if you have more testosterone to create chest hair, you'll also go bald faster, it's likely.

But IotD takes issue with this "hairiest man in China" nonsense. Two years ago IotD covered one hairier.

Was he in "Hairy" and the Hendersons?:p

Um, carry the torch? I'd advise against letting him do so. It's too likely he'd light himself up and then nobody could stand the smell long enough to get close and have the torch passed on. :whofart:

Uh, UT, I think this is the same guy as the one in the linked story from three years ago.

He's got a really bad drag coefficient...
