Can anyone help me? There is a video that is on a local TV station, that I want to download and save. I've been trying to figure it out and it's not working. Does anyone here know of a simple way to do this?

I was with you until you said, "simple." The method I typically employ involves pulling the file (usually a flash video) out of my internet cache and then playing it with a nice, free program called VLC. The main trick is in finding the file, and the format (.flv) is why I use VLC. If nothing else comes up, I'll explain a bit better. A truly simpler method would be the best idea, though.

The KEEPVID site offers to simplify the matter. I've not used it myself and can't test it (no videos getting through our corporate blockade), but it looks like it could be worth a try.

ok, i'm just stupid - no, it's true.

Step 1 - says to select a site - I left it at "Any Site" because it did not give the site I needed. (or see earlier statement)

I entered the "address" in step 2.

It says to "Try Again", I did, it says "Try Again"

Don't know if I mentioned this, but see first statement:rolleyes:

I'm sorry I couldn't look into this until now, jester. I see what you mean - even though there is an "Any Site" option, you seem to need to work with one of the sites on their list. I did OK with a Google video, but a couple of sites not on the list didn't work. I'll see if I can find another method for you. :fingerx:

It's ok, thank you so very much for trying to help, though.

I do it a crazy way. I video it, or I TIVO it and load it onto my hard-drive or MP3 player... or I just pray it into an empty envelope.
