does anyone know if this vaccination is a requirement to visit Beirut, Lebanon.

yes, it is. Not only must you have documentation of the vaccinations for yellow fever, measles, mumps, rubella, typhoid, TB, Polio and chicken pox, you'll also need to take malaria pills and have documentation that you are HIV negative. It's also advisable to shave all body hair to minimise the likelihood of contracting Lebanon Louse.
