Saw BB KING last night!

Hubby and I went to Chastain Park's outdoor amphitheater in Atlanta last evening with friends to see Al Green and BB King. Fabulous, just fab!

Al put an a very energetic performance. BB sang/played some good songs, but spent an awful amo9unt of time telling stories and reminiscing during his relatively short amount of time onstage. I'd have preferred more songs/playing...but I got to see The Legend; BB King! ...and he IS 81 years old...so I'm happy with the performance I was able to see... ;)

That is cool. I'm almost as jealous of you as I am of Elspode after the Metheny show. By the way, HH, how did Lucille look (since you didn't get to hear enough of her) last night?

Lucille looked like a guitar. :D As guitars go, I guess she looked pretty well-kept. Husband would know more than me, sorry. I'm not a guitar afficianado, nor a great fan of blues/jazz...I went to please hubby, who enjoyed himself immensely.

I asked Hubby for $10 so I could get a water and instead, I added that to the cash I already had and surprised him with a BB King t-shirt.
We were sitting about 10' from stage left. We had a fabulous view! I really enjoyed watching the animated pleasure on BB's face as he played.

I'd be happy to just be able to listen at 81.
