I Need Help

Okay, so I'm at work, innocently surfing the internet while I'm on perpetual hold with an insurance company, and I find out something that is so terrible, that I have to approach all of you, my best and dearest pseudofriends (and quite a few actual friends), for advice.

There is an upcoming release for Guitar Hero Encore: Rock the 80s.

This lead me to investigate Guitar Hero 1 and 2.

Please give me reasons that I don't need to have this.

There are none. I was in the game shop with a buddy the other day and played this for almost an hour. I am not a gamer, but I do have a Wii. When this becomes available for the Wii, I MUST own it.

Go to youtube and search for Guitar Hero. Some people really do need to get out of the house more.

we have hero 2 - don't know if you know this, but on this one you can also play bass.

My son loves Guitar Hero, and is very aggravated that we won't get it. (It's not the game itself, so much as we don't have a Playstation 2! Just a scruffy old Playstation 1.) His friends all love it too, and some of them have it.

If the prospect of having the same taste as eight-year-old boys will keep you from getting the game, then go for it. (Personally I wouldn't let that stop me.)

An actual guitar and amp could be had on Craigslist for less than the price of a console + game.

Oh, pshaw. Playing on real strings will give you big ol' calluses, and you have to actually know what you're doing. Guitar Hero is pressing buttons on a guitar-shaped controller.

And I'm sorry wolf, but I cannot give you a single reason why you don't need to have this. Not a single one.
