Popping in to say hi

hot_pastrami • Jul 2, 2007 9:42 pm
At Lumberjim's electronic cajoling, I thought I'd stop in and say Hi to all of my old friends here at the Cellar.

Hi!

I'm still spending all of my time trying to be a software contractor and a writer/editor at DamnInteresting.com. It leaves less time than I'd like for other pleasurable pursuits (reading, drawing, sleeping), but it's better than rotting in a carpeted cube. The perpetual state of not-enough-writers at D.I. keeps me writing furiously throughout many nights, and I have almost eliminated sleep from my schedule by remaining in a state of only 2/3 consciousness at all times. Speaking of which.... mmmmmmrmmhhhhmmmm.

So how is everyone? I hope you're all still healthy, wealthy, and extremely good-looking. I do miss our synapse-tickling conversations!

XOXOXO

Holy crap! You write for DI? I read that site religiously!

Damn cool, HP. Glad you're doing something worth doing. Thanks for dropping us a line.

Good for you, HP! I have missed you around these parts, but I am happy for you.

Do you go by the handle "Floj" on DI, by chance? Call it a hunch....

Either way, thanks for reading (with extra corn)! Exclamation point!

I've missed you guys, too... you can't beat the Cellarites with a stick. Sniff.

I'm not THAT easy... you can't go from "Been a long time, how have things been" straight to ejecting phlegm on one another.

...

*cough*

Oops, that's never happened before, I swear...

Ohhh I remember you now the *cough* thingie has started :)

No, I don't have a login. I'm a freeloader.
Though now I'm going to create one... Hmmm... what name to pick?
glatt • Jul 3, 2007 1:42 pm
I was wondering recently how you were doing. Thanks for checking in.

Very weird.

Over in the John Titor thread, I mention that it's too bad that hot_pastrami don't come around here no more, and then I'm browsing through Boing-Boing, and what do I see? An article by him gets Boing-Boinged.

*smiles* Hallo HP, nice to see you! Remember though....all work and no play makes HP a dull boy...so make regular relaxing breaks to the Cellar to keep your fun levels topped up :)

It's been a while but I remember you're a very funny guy. Hope you have time to hang out here now and then. :thumb:

Ladies and gentlemen, given this thread is now over 4 months old and he hasn't been seen since, d'you think we should put HP back on the missing list?
glatt • Nov 9, 2007 11:24 am
It's my fault for reviving the thread. Sorry for the confusion folks.

Nothing to see here. Move along. Move along...

The killdozer reminds me of that movie- "Falling Down". Love it!

Poor guy.
