Cellar Status

Jeboduuza • Jun 22, 2007 1:46 am
The Cellar seems pretty peaceful lately. Not many uproars, not many hugely responded threads. But then again I am fairly inactive but I have seen nothing that will :eyebrow: . The splashes weeks and months ago seem to have rippled out and it seems calmer and more content.

What do you think of the current Cellar Status? You n00bs and old timers alike.
DanaC • Jun 22, 2007 2:02 am
The calm before the storm? Or to be more precise, the calm between storms:P
Ibby • Jun 22, 2007 2:24 am
Eye of the hurricane.
Aliantha • Jun 22, 2007 3:20 am
well Bruce and me haven't had a head to head for a while now. Must be just about time.

I think one could be brewing. lol
fargon • Jun 22, 2007 4:30 am
I will see if I can stir up some $hit.
Aliantha • Jun 22, 2007 4:39 am
That'd be so awesome fargon. We really need more shit around this place.

Ebbs and tides.

It has been a bit dry around here lately, though. Sometimes I'll see
10+ people signed in and no one is posting a word. Maybe I'm on reverse ignore, where I can't see their posts?

And what's up with all the people using stealth mode these days? Ten members logged on but only 5 are visible? And LJ, you of all people, who gets spooked by the lurkers, you use stealth mode?
Shawnee123 • Jun 22, 2007 1:14 pm
lol...I just realized I was in stealth. I rarely do that, I had just been popping in and out all day and decided to lurk awhile. :o
freshnesschronic • Jun 22, 2007 1:23 pm
So a lurker is someone who is logged in but invisible?
Shawnee123 • Jun 22, 2007 1:28 pm
Lurk levels:

1) Not registered. Just reads other's posts.
2) Registered, not logged in. Just reading other's posts
3) Registered, logged in, but in "invisible" mode
4) Registered, logged in, not invisible, but just sits there like a lump

I can't think of a 5.
freshnesschronic • Jun 22, 2007 1:35 pm
So I've never seen any of the mods or UT online. Are they too, lurkers? Or the exception...
fargon • Jun 22, 2007 1:53 pm
Let me see, shall it be politics, current events, or food and drink. I generally stay away from philosophy, but that may be a good place to start.

Oh goody goody, my creative juices are starting to flow. :turd:

5) Install a keystroke logger on Shawnee123's computer so you can lurk not only her Cellar posts, but also everything else she's doing.
Flint • Jun 22, 2007 2:29 pm
"everything else" ???

How about, "logged in under an alias"? I think some regular posters have alternate identities.

Ooooh, the feds would not like that.

Ahhh yes, that's true. I always thought I would get into trouble doing that. But, I am who I am and it would be pretty transparent if I was sneaking around as Shiny123 or something. But I love to look for other people's "sock puppets" (as I've heard LJ call them.) It's fun!
wolf • Jun 22, 2007 2:44 pm
Most of them are pretty obvious.

Not like it? They'd want to hire me.
HungLikeJesus • Jun 22, 2007 2:46 pm
I've recently switched to stealth mode so that I can eventually fade away without anyone noticing.

I like to plan ahead.
freshnesschronic • Jun 22, 2007 4:12 pm

Oh, give me the beat, boys, and free my soul
I want to get lost in your rock and roll
And drift away

elSicomoro • Jun 23, 2007 11:28 am
You all don't need to know when I'm here, hence stealth mode. Consider my posts blessings from God. :)
monster • Jun 23, 2007 2:22 pm
I see wolf online right now.
