Shower head advice

Cloud • Jun 20, 2007 1:00 pm
I realize this is kind of trivial, but I want to buy a new shower head for my shower that has a hand-held attachment. There are too many choices! I don't know what to look for!

Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm also NOT planning on installing it myself.

I'm pretty careful about shower head. You don't want to kneel over the drain, because you'll get a back-up. You also need to be careful about slippage. Safety first, I always say.

I know I'm a smartass beeatch but I just couldn't resist.

I have a hand held shower head but I don't like it. I still have one of those shower heads that are like rain showers, and I may forgo the conveniences of the removable shower head for the "spring rain" effect and change it out..

Also, Cloud, if you have someone to do it for you that's great, but don't pay someone. Shower heads are really easy to install, unless you have to change the pipes or something. A little thread tape and you're good to go.

The Shower Massage is the best, we have one with a mount and we can take it down or use it as a regular shower head cost about $20.00 and took 5 minutes to install.

I had to read this a couple of times before it made sense. I was totally not expecting that, LOL!

I know it was juvenile, but it was just there! Thanks for not being miffed that I joked on your thread. I did try to follow up with some real advice. I miss my old apartment, big old claw foot tub with the rain shower head...bliss. The one thing I don't like about where I live now is the tub/shower.

:)

oh, jokes are great! (unless they are mean jokes).

I think Shower Massage is a good, well known brand, but I'm tempted by the Water Pik. I especially want an actual water pic for your teeth that hooks up to the shower head, but don't know if you can do that with the hand-held thingy.

You can get a diverter valve and put in anything you want.

Sheldon recommended the Dynadouche iirc. :)

interesting. but not quite what I'm looking for.

and SOME people might be able to install a diverterthingy. but not me :)

what do you plan to do with the hand held attachment?
Cloud • Jun 20, 2007 11:03 pm
um . . . personal hygiene.

Really! mostly spot cleaning.

I have a Hansgrohe shower head and it works well. The best feature is it won't clog up with mineral deposits.

Just make sure the attachment hose is long enough.

I don't care how long it is, I'm all about the width ;)

A nice fat juicy bratwurst is useless (nay! it's actually torture) to the dog who's chain stops short of reaching it!
