Axlrosen suggests this Boing Boing'd item, and it's surely IotD material. Practically without having to say so, this is Pac-Man's skeleton, as rendered by French artist Le Gentil Garçon. At the official website, enjoy trying to recall your high-school French while gawking at the lovely works.

How come PacMan got a uvula without the lung capacity to speak?
Cloud • Jun 17, 2007 2:39 pm

That's a whacker to smack things trying to sneak out the back way, back into the teeth.

Maybe you're thinking of sketches of cartoon skeletons?

I don't buy it. Pac-man's skull should have a prominent sagittal crest (like a gorilla skull, or as on a carnivore such as a big cat). That's where the temporalis muscles (for jaw closing strength) attach.

For a critter like Pac-man, you'd expect robust musculature for those massive choppers, which this guy doesn't have. The skull depicts a beast that's all show, and no chew.

Realism, I demand realism! :P
