is this 20 questions per person? And, you have to give us a clue to start out with--animal, vegetable, or mineral. Or, if you prefer, person, place, or thing.
theotherguy • May 29, 2007 11:55 am
Did Cloud just use one of our 20? Shit, I might have just used one myself.

why? is it because you don't know what it's made of? or is it because it's made of different things. No, this is not a separate question.

It's time for a clue, please, since you are being so hard-ass on the number of questions. (When I play, we usually don't count--just keep asking questions until we guess it or we give up)
Rexmons • May 29, 2007 2:43 pm
i couldnt answer that because it wasnt a yes or no question, the number of questions is the name of the game lol, but after the 20th question i'll give everyone 1 guess.
Cloud • May 29, 2007 2:48 pm
it was a yes or no question. Is it made wholly or partially of metal? yes or no?

I wasn't making a distinction as to wholly or partly--I was just wanting to know if there was metal in the object.
Rexmons • May 29, 2007 2:56 pm
oh ok then, yes. #18
Flint • May 29, 2007 2:57 pm
I play "as many questions as it takes until you get it, and I'll give you a clue if it starts to drag, and only if you want a clue"
lumberjim • May 29, 2007 3:00 pm

Flint • May 29, 2007 3:01 pm
you're a prosthetic cock
jester • May 29, 2007 3:05 pm
does lumberjims response make that question #19 or just an answer - which if not the correct (don't think it is) one can be construed as a question - i hate to use the last question
Rexmons • May 29, 2007 3:26 pm
nah im not counting that

#20 - no, since that was the 20th question everyone gets one guess as to what it is, cloud you can take another guess too.

Cloud • May 29, 2007 5:19 pm
(takes a bow)

well, I was going to say that before, but you said it doesn't come in different sizes. I've got a 12 inch ruler and a 6 inch ruler, as well as a yardstick.
theotherguy • May 29, 2007 5:20 pm
That was my thought, but the only one size threw me. I happen to have a ruler 6" long x 1/2" wide, a ruler 12" long x 1 1/2" wide and an 18" long x 1 1/2" wide. I also have metric ones. Just me bitching - carry on.
Rexmons • May 29, 2007 5:22 pm
sorry i was looking right at the ruler on my desk, which is a standard ruler (12")
theotherguy • May 29, 2007 5:24 pm
Here is a hint - It is a ruler.
Cloud • May 29, 2007 5:44 pm

#2 - is it a carnivore?
Cloud • May 29, 2007 7:07 pm
no.

Clue: It is not AN animal; it is a thing which comes from the animal kingdom.
Clodfobble • May 29, 2007 11:14 pm
Waitaminute, I call bullshit on one of Rexmons' answers--rulers are rigid! What good is a ruler that bends?
lumberjim • May 30, 2007 12:27 am
clobble, a thin metal ruler bends....even a wooden one bends slightly.....or else we wouldn;t be a ble to make the boi yoi yoi yoing sound you can make by holding a third of it down on the edge of a table and 'diving boarding' the other end.
lumberjim • May 30, 2007 12:28 am

#7 - Is it normally found outdoors?
Cloud • May 30, 2007 10:19 am
yes, it is found outdoors in its natural state. (It's from an animal, remember?) But . . . as used by humans, it's frequently found indoors.

Rexmons • May 30, 2007 1:12 pm
sorry, just got back from lunch. is it a fur?
Cloud • May 30, 2007 1:27 pm
well no. I'm pretty sure fur occurs commonly in the Western hemisphere, nor is it used in manufacturing. Is it? (tries to imagine furry machinery). Plus someone suggested pelts.

No fur, or hair.

leather?

nope!
Rexmons • May 30, 2007 5:06 pm
when i said ivory she said it was close...
glatt • May 30, 2007 5:14 pm
And she said the same when you asked if it could be worn.

What animal products can be worn? Wool? She said it wasn't fur or hair. Can't be wool. Leather? nope. tortoise shell? Seems unlikely. Besides, that's very western hemisphere. Coral beads? Seems pretty unlikely, also western. The excretion of lac bugs? Do they put that crap in hair spray? I know it's used for furniture finish and is collected in India. Maybe, but seems like a stretch. I won't guess that.

Damn if I know. I'm stumped.
Rexmons • May 30, 2007 5:16 pm
crocodile skin would fall under leather too... maybe it's the magic unicorn horn from "Legend"
Cloud • May 30, 2007 5:17 pm
Aaaah! You're so close!

18 questions have been asked, but I don't care. If you give up, I'll tell you. or you can just keep asking questions.
Clodfobble • May 30, 2007 8:00 pm
Pearls!
Cloud • May 30, 2007 9:25 pm
YAAAYYYYYY! Pearls it is!
Rexmons • May 31, 2007 8:28 am
wouldn't that fall under jesters jewelery question?
Cloud • May 31, 2007 9:56 am
no.

a pearl does not equal body jewelry.

In fact, real pearls are unsuitable for body jewelry, because you're not supposed to get them wet.
