(me, hamming it up as usual, 3 wks ago)

There is a certain benefit to really strong hands and fingers and a sense of rhythm.

My cousin is a base player. He's into jazz and blues. Doesn't gig much these days though. He's more into making money building bridges and shit.

He's not scarey. Just a bit full of himself.

What no Muso's rule??

I like the way you think UT.;)
SteveDallas • May 23, 2007 1:24 am
Go out with one? Sure.

Just don't let them near your file servers.
Cloud • May 23, 2007 2:56 am
. . . or your uterus.
Perry Winkle • May 23, 2007 7:31 am
My only question is how fun it can be to play with fish...
piercehawkeye45 • May 24, 2007 7:42 pm
I play bass and I am not scary.

We have very good with our fingers.........whatever that means...
DucksNuts • May 24, 2007 8:10 pm
Thats a matter of opinion :p

We are going out Saturday nite :)

A LOUD bass player? I thought they were the quiet crazy ones. Or are those the drummers? (It's been a few years :D)
piercehawkeye45 • May 25, 2007 3:16 am
It depends. Sometimes the bassist is the cool guys sitting in the corner laying down the beat or it is the funky cool guy playing the amazing jazz solo or the crazy cool guy flipping out (me) throwing the bass everywhere and kicking people (the drummer) in the face.
smurfalicious • May 25, 2007 8:44 am
I dated 2 bass players, one chick, one dude. They were both great with their hands, but deceitful whores too.

But I don't think even *I* would able to resist a 6'3, blonde, LOUD and a little crazy bass player.

Shush, you.

I keep biting my fingers to keep from responding. I lived with a bass player, an extremely talented and versatile and advanced music degree holding bass player. Yeah, he played electric bass for money, but any other bass instrument, ah hell, any other instrument for love. Orchestral bass would be his preference, strings or brass.

Bass players in general are funloving and the life of the group whether a small combo or a concert band.

Go for it, but bring your wallet.

Yeah, right you wish kid.

I used to play bass krummhorn and bass viola da gamba.

Does that count?
lizzymahoney • May 25, 2007 11:27 pm
I dunno. What do you have in your wallet?
DucksNuts • May 28, 2007 1:59 am
*sigh*

Back from weekend away and well.....as per usual....he really likes me (no no..thats not the as per usual part) but I was kinda *errr* about him.

My problem is, we were both fairly well tanked by the time we got partying together and he was heaps of fun...but he made it too obvious that he really liked me.

I know, I have issues.

Anyways, I am gonna give it another go....sober.

Oh and you should all be proud of me, I didnt sleep with him :D

I'm going to Missy Higgins concert(link to youtube) on Thursday nite with a bouncer :)

Would of invited the bass dude, but he is 3 hours north and I am going 2 hours south for the concert.
bluecuracao • May 28, 2007 2:08 am
Uh oh...now the bouncers are the ones to be wary of!

Actually, if they're the target of Ducks hunting, then I kind of feel sorry for them.

DucksNuts • May 28, 2007 7:39 pm
Ahhh, hence the *kind of*.

I think I just have to grow up some and get to the point where I *know* bad boys arent good for me.

Then I wont push the nice guys away and get in lust with guys I know there is no real future with :)

Until then....well....you know ;)

Well, if you ever make it to America I might be able to introduce you to a few nice Jewish guys.
DucksNuts • May 28, 2007 9:04 pm
Umm....thanks ? :eyebrow:

Why do you keep going around and around, same scenario.
When are you going to face reality.
Stop the denial and face the truth.

You need a harem.
A generous, good provider, to support the household.
A kindly, good father, to nurture the children.
Three bad boys for fun and games.

Oh, one to peel grapes and operate the Cellar sneaky-cam.
