What does your building look like RFN?

Shawnee123 • May 21, 2007 1:04 pm
Well, not RFN, but these pics were taken by the architect one evening last week: this is our new wing addition. These pics are so good I thought it was the artist's rendering we were seeing about a year ago, though they lost some zing when I compressed them!

I told them I would be the first employee to end up in the lake. Those who thought I was kidding don't know me very well! What are they going to do, fire me? :D

Wait till the Canadian Geese find that pond and you're up to your butt in Goose poo.
Shawnee123 • May 21, 2007 3:35 pm
Oh, we have the geese already...babies and all. They've been staying in the front pond. It's murkier, I think.
Aliantha • May 21, 2007 9:24 pm
I'd have to take a pic of my house to show you my building. lol Maybe I could do that.

Shawnee, that's a nice looking building. How well does it work? (Comfort, function, lighting, all of that stuff.)

If I had seen this thread earlier I could have incorporated it into the psychic post.

The pointy part will mostly serve Allied Health studies. It's all state of the art. The chairs are comfy as heck. The inside is gorgeous with great student artwork and color scheme.

Behind the pointy part is the new library and learning center, which are both also very nice.

Now they are renovating the old library and we (Student Services) will be moving there. I like where we are now because we are across from the gymnasium and near the theater; when there is an event, or a basketball game, we are close to the action. But our new offices will be nice too. For one thing, I get a real office with real walls. Also, I'm one of the few who will be along the windows. They like to keep us FA people in the back because we're not fit to be in public. Actually, it's for privacy purposes...but I'll take it.

very pretty. But it's not YOUR building, is it? (that comment is because of your job difficulties.) I like that the "pointy part" is going to be the health area--they can really stick it to you, yuk yuk.

Here's my not-mine building. They could hardly be any different! (Also, it's a winter pic, so the tree does not have any leaves, but you can see the bldg. better)

That's pretty. Kinda spanish looking.

my outside office bldg is plain jane brick - i'm in an industrial park, but here's a picture of my office - not great - buy MINE.

Nice Jester, I see you at least have a view of some real trees. I barely remember what trees look like since moving to the valley of hell aka: the asshole of Arizona.
jester • Jun 14, 2007 6:14 pm
yes, we do have plenty of trees - did you move because of work or someone?
Shawnee123 • Jun 14, 2007 6:21 pm
You have a lot of room! What sort of company is it?

One observation: love the Pink Panther

One question: what is the comic strip on the wall? Kind of looks like a Cathy from here.

Work. The construction trade to be exact. Gotta love working outside in these Phoenix summers. Me: it's 118 degrees today! Them: yes but it's a dry heat.
HungLikeJesus • Jun 14, 2007 6:28 pm
jester - are those the hats of your victims?

P.S. That's the emptiest purse I've ever seen.
jester • Jun 14, 2007 6:44 pm
we are in the plumbing, heating business, we are a union contractor and the hats are mine (raiders) - that was my camera case, not my purse.

pink panther is my favorite cartoon

the one cartoon on the left is penguin, tiger & rat(?) anyway it's a joke "How do you know a woman has been working at a computer? There's white-out on the screen! ha ha

the one on the right is Dilbert where the boss is wanting the secretary to move the title of a letter somewhere else and he touches the screen - she freaks - your finger oil is now on my screen and i have to clean it - don't you know how to "hover"
don't touch - he thinks to himself that he "hopes he isn't losing his aura of infallibility"

I'll have to try to remember to take the camera to the nuthouse.

There's a dayshot on the website that I could steal, but it looks spookier at night.

Actually, I'm pretty sure the nightshots are on here somewhere ...

There seems to be one, in the snow, and you can't really make out any details.

This is from the website, but is not an RFN.
Shawnee123 • Jun 15, 2007 8:34 am
Definitely get some night pics of the nuthouse! I love a spooky building. Some day I will get a camera and take a pic of this house in town I love, I call it Spooky House. It's for sale, but alas, I can no afford!

Jester, great Dilbert cartoon. I know my share of hoverers.
