strange bumper sticker I saw

On the back of a student's car, it said "Someone I Loved Was Murdered!" in big red letters. There was nothing else, nothing pointing to a support group or anything like that.

It seemed odd, though I'm sure the person has reasons. I was pondering what those reasons might be. To raise awareness? But no one can be aware if we don't know the scoop, and it seems odd that someone might walk up to her in a parking lot and say "who was murdered? How was it done? Did they die instantly or were they tortured?" And anyway, it doesn't say "Ask Me About Someone I Loved Who Was Murdered."

Then again, it did get me to bring up the subject, so awareness might be a goal. But to what end? I haven't accomplished anything; we all know that people murder people.

I did think how horrible that must be. I know I can't imagine the pain and suffering, so maybe that is part of it.

Any ideas?

Did it look like a store bought sticker?

I've seen stickers like that before. I think I read that it's meant to make people aware of how it can happen to anyone.

Either that or they REALLY don't want someone to ask them out.

Yes, I think so, but I don't know what the quality of a homemade one would look if you had the right materials.

You may be right. It doesn't say "But I Didn't Do It."
